I cannot say enough good things about this Grocery Store! My three year old absolutely loves his grocery store, and it has quickly become his favorite playtime activity. The quality is great it's incredibly sturdy and well made. Assembly was surprisingly easy. I was able to put it together in about an hour, and the instructions were simple to follow. Once set up, it looked just like a real mini grocery store, complete with a checkout counter, scanner, and shelves. What really makes this special is how it encourages creativity and role-playing. My little one loves grabbing his grocery cart, filling it up with all his play food, scanning items at the checkout, and then heading to the kitchen to cook his purchases. It's the perfect way to teach him about shopping, counting, and even social skills as he takes turns being the cashier and the customer. What’s not to love about Melissa and Doug? While it can be a little pricey the quality and cuteness definitely makes up for it. My son loves his grocery store and you can pair it with Melissa and Doug grocery store items or any food accessories for that matter. We got this for our 5 children for Christmas, it arrived taped looking like new. However when we opened the box everything inside had been opened up including the screws and parts and clearly repackaged. The door was used and dirty and had obviously been glued together at some point. Our kids were desperate to play with it on Christmas so we built it anyway. But it's very deceptive of Amazon to sell used returned items as new at new prices. Overall though it's a wonderful toy, my kids love it and even with everything arrived jumbled it was easy to assemble. The door is apparently a weak point though but the store functions just fine without it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I am in love with this. It took about 2 1/2 hours but for me that isn't too long, I normally can't put these things together but this was very simple. Everything is labeled alphabetically and numerically. I advise to take all parts out and spread them across the floor or a flat surface. It goes in order for the most part when you put together. The only thing I would say is when you get to step 17/18 .... try attaching that long piece (I believe it is piece N) to the conveyer belt without the converyer belt being on the stand. Have it off and put the 3 screws in first and then place the converter belt down because it was hard for me to level it all up with not much support. You can also insert the credit card into the machine (like you do with the chip). This stand is so lovely and worth every penny. It is a great learning tool for children. So many fun ideas. ... show more
