A very solid story

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the book and would highly recommend it. The book mostly falls into what I would call a cosmic horror. The author does a great job keeping you invested in the story throughout, with an exception to chapter 10, which I felt was a little to drawn out. Occasionally the story includes humorous moments to break up tension and is done so well that it actually made me laugh out loud as we read over them. Edited: I also disagree with the editorial review on two points. It mentions several times that the "science behind" the wormhole was confusing, however I found it quite easy to follow/understand. The editorial also mentions that the "conversion from vengeful villain to willing accomplice" was not believable. While I think I know who the editor is referencing I would never in a million years describe the person as a "vengeful villain," and I though his change in attitude was actually quite understandable.

A fanciful,humorous, and sometimes scary journey…

I’ve followed this author in his other endeavors for a long time. When I heard about this book, I knew I needed to give it a try. I tore through the book in two days. It’s a great read that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time! Highly recommended!

Enjoyed the read

I'm not one to usually read for fun or on my free time, but I read this book fairly effortlessly in about three or four days. The concepts are a lot of fun (although the scary and suspenseful kind), and the imagery of the setting is both grand and accessible. I appreciate his application of the "chekhov's gun" principal of storytelling, contributing to a tighter and more efficient word count than it could've been, while painting verbal pictures that are immersive in both the fantastic and mundane. Time well spent.

New promising author

I usually read a book over a week or two, but I read this in two days. The author has a great story and imagination. Very interesting and super easy to read and follow. This author has what a great author needs to be at the top. Hopefully there's going to be more additions to this book and more stories.

Entertaining read

The Bootstrap Paradox was an escape from the world we live in. It was fast paced with interesting twists. I admit that when Sam died, I jumped to the last pages to see if I wanted to continue..and I did. I am a long time follower of "Ed" so I was really interested in his presentation of the story. I was not disappointed, his humor and sarcasm shines through. A great read.

Exciting page turner

Just completed and feel like I am reacclimating to reality. Great hooks from the start pull you into a worlds alternately relatable and mind-blowing. My favorite line: “Gary screamed out for God’s help, but if God was watching, they had a packet of popcorn in hand and no intention of changing the channel.” Can’t wait to read Joe Orange’s next book.

Good enough to purchase twice

As a long-time fan, I was so excited to get this book. I loved the vividness of the descriptions and plot twists throughout the story, and the characters were compelling. My husband read it as soon as I finished, and he was amazed as well. I even bought a second copy for my brother. If you enjoy Twilight Zone or Outer Limits, you'll love it.
