  • Useless
A “bodybuilding cookbook”. Nope. The protein to calorie balance is completely useless. If you are a man weighing 200 lbs or more, then 15-30g of protein per meal just ain't going to cut it. Fat content is too high; bringing ip the calories. Carbs are fine. But the portions are so small that I already know I won’t feel satiated at any point with these meals. Very disappointed with this book. Taking it to Goodwill. Smh. ... show more

  • Hard pass
This book was a major letdown. Clearly no cooks much less chefs were consulted. Same with editors/quality control The author is a bodybuilder but a chef she is definitely not. My wife however is a chef. We went through the 6 weeks and every week marveled at the lack of culinary knowledge and total disregard for portions; both the wild variances in individual portion sizes and baffling variances in the number of portions per meal prepared vs required for the week. If you buy this book you must be prepared with an obscene amount of storage containers and extra freezers and refrigerators to hold the surplus portions left over each week. The mysterious instruction of putting protein (or any powder) in a baggie or jar with a mix of fruit to be frozen and then added to a blender with liquid later also suggests the author is creative but not practicing what she's teaching. It's a total pain trying to get all that powder out off the bag or jar and makes no sense to not just add the powder at the moment of putting the ingredients in the blender. Sadly this one feels like the revenue was a much higher motivator than serving others well by delivering a high quality product. ... show more

  • Vodrazka stuns me again with her nutritionist knowledge and her second book!
Excellent book and the recipes are yummy. I am very into working out and trying to eat well and this book just made it easier. I love the layout and the meal plan that accompanies it. And the food is delicious. I have Michelle’s first book, Help Yourself to Seconds which is also a nutritious meal book with recipes. Both are excellent if you want to exercise, eat right yet feel good and have a lot of energy and vitality in your life! ... show more

  • Not recommended..unless you are a very new beginner
There are some ideas in there, but its the same thing you read everywhere. I did read the entire book to see if I could find anything but its the same material packaged differently.

  • My favorite cookbook right now!
I loveeeee, love, loveeeee all of the recipes I've tried from this book. They're all easy to make and keep macronutrients in check. I really can't say enough about it! If you're trying to build your body while eating delicious food this is the book for you. There are meal plan breakdowns but also individual recipes if you're just looking to make something for breakfast, lunch, dinner. There is plenty to choose from and something for everyone in this book. ... show more

  • Recipes are too time consuming and still tastes bad.
I made my very first recipe from this book, took me forever and these are just simple turkey meatballs. Followed everything to the tee. It tastes like a cardboard with some medication poured all over it. Looked through other recipes. This is unrealistic. It needs to be simple, instead there is all this ingredient extravaganza and tastes bad after all. I will just stick with salt and pepper and single ingredients. ... show more

  • A lot of good info
I got this as my intro to meal prep and healthy eating. A lot of the recipes are easy to follow and I love the hints at substituting. I’m a picky eater and a lot of the recipes had things I was not crazy about but it’s teaching me to try new things. I didn’t like that soy milk wasn’t an option on a lot and almond milk was in a lot of recipes. I would still recommend this book and it’s super helpful and if you are not a picky eater you might find more of it enjoyable. ... show more

  • Great ideas for prepping and healthy meals...not for bodybuilding
I wanted to get high protein recipes and most were high carb, although healthy recipes for those not seriously counting a lot of protein. The prep tips and shopping lists were really helpful. I will use them but modify to reduce carbs and fat. If you want a cookbook and guide for meal prep, this is your book. ... show more
