Solid follow up to the first. The pacing feels a bit more like two shorter books than the cohesiveness of the first book. The mechanics and worldbuilding continue to offer up intriguing possibilities for Nathan's accidental OP shenanigans while the Harrowed Hand and B32 remain interesting adversaries. Nathan continues his rod work in this book, new rod but it needs updating with specific fish. he decides to only do side quests no main ones, but b32 has it out for him

This is an interesting take on the litrpg apocalypse sub genre. The MC doesn't want the responsibility and is scared of letting people down. With the fun side stories of the system and MC's soulbound town, i enjoyed it.

Another well-written entry in Nathan’s saga. Action is continuous, but things have gotten a bit less fun this time around. Still enjoyed the story, but wish when our MC is offered a giant power up he would at least ask questions rather than plug his ears and yell no repeatedly.
