Description

Evil never sleeps. Embrace your power and protect your playground. What started out as the search for a killer very quickly becomes something so much more. In a unique story set alongside the events of the second film, Spider- Man discovers he's not the only one tracking down Manhattan's criminals. The underworld has been turned upside down with a one-man campaign of violence and murder that has captured the city in an iron grip of fear. Villains from the film as well as fan-favorite, classic Marvel characters are woven together in a twisted web of adrenaline-fueled, free-roaming, web-slinging action that puts players on a collision course with an evil far beyond Spider-Man's reckoning. • WOW! Just Amazing!
Platform: Nintendo Wii U
Just got the game today after having it on preorder since January. Thanks again Amazon for the great service. I thought I was going to wait five days after launch to get it I got it in two. I thought I was going to pay 49.95 for it I got it for 39.95. As far as the game itself WOW! I really enjoyed the first Amazing Spiderman Game and this one blows it out of the water. Web swinging mechanics are different from the first game but once you get used to them they are top notch. Beautiful graphics amazing job on the NYC skyline and landscape. Gameplay is outstanding so far. I am early into the game and I am already quite impressed. Definitely a must buy for any Spidey fan. Get it for Wii U and support a great gaming console. ... show more

  • Great accompaniment to the movie.
Platform: Nintendo Wii U
Bought this game for my son's birthday. He loved all things Spider-Man. He loves the game. Very cool graphics, nice storyline and Not too difficult to learn how to control. My 10 year old beat the game in about 7 hours. My 13 year old has Down Syndrome and has yet to beat it. It was intended for him. Either way, I think it's a game they will play more of in the future. ... show more

the gameplay actually quite fun. only reason I took a star off is because I frankly didn't care for the cut scenes the least bit. I had originally imagined it would atleast have graphics equivalent to batman or something for cutscenes but that's just not the case. its cheesy and resembles ps2 graphics. if you're more into gameplay get the game because it wont disappoint. if your looking for cool cut scenes then look elsewhere, because its quite unimpressive ... show more

Bought for my 5 year old son who begged for it for Christmas. I was worried it would be too advanced for him however, after receiving some instruction from my husband, he was good to go! We were also impressed with the graphics for the price of the game.

  • Entertaining for a few hours but gets boring quickly
Platform: Nintendo Wii U
Pros: - Open world play in a large city. It's pretty fun to swing around. - Gameplay is pretty easy. If you've played the Batman games, the controls are similar, but it's way easier in this game to win fights and increase multiplier, etc. Makes it more appropriate for younger players (7-12 yrs old maybe). Cons: - Maybe too easy. In some parts, you are literally just following onscreen button instructions to progress through a battle. - Short. Maybe 5-7 hours of gameplay to finish the main missions. You can spend hours and hours though afterwards trying to collect comic pages, fight criminals, and destroy Oscorp crates around the city after the main missions are done. - Cityscape is large but boring. There aren't many buildings that stand out from the others. Just a huge grid of similar looking buildings. You can't go in very many of them. And once you finish the main missions, i don't think you can go into any of them except Aunt May's house to change your costume and the comic book store to look at stuff. - Very little variations on side missions like getting people out of a fire or disposing of a bomb. For each type, the game will cut to 1 of 3-4 different scenarios that are always the same. Once you've played them a few times, it becomes pretty boring. - The camera view of your character doesn't cooperate quite often. And it's always annoyingly zoomed in on your character. The worst is when you are trying to crawl on a wall or ceiling. You often can't get the camera to be at the angle or distance you want and it becomes very disorienting trying to figure out which direction you are going. It basically renders wall crawling something you want to avoid. If anything, the ability to zoom out and see how your character is oriented would have helped greatly. ... show more

  • So-so. Only for hardcore Spidey fans.
Platform: Nintendo Wii U
I loved the first TAS game. I pre-ordered this one because of that. It was... well, it wasn't a mistake, but I feel like I'd rather had waited until it was on discount. The random events are repetitive (like in the first one) but this time, you are given a little video at the end of one. At first it's kinda cool, but after a few events, you will see yourself pressing the skip button. On top of that, if you don't do these random events, your Hero/Menace bar will dip towards Menace, which causes the entire city to be on the lookout for you. While it may sound like an authentic Spider-Man experience, it's actually annoying because EVERY BLOCK in the city begins to hunt you down. It's annoying when you just want to get to one place. The story in the first game was a sort of sequel, which I thought was great. That's not the case here, where it eschews a new story for a retelling of the movie's story complete with conflicts, such as Electro and Spider-Man's meeting being in completely different places. Also, the story just sorta ended in the middle of everything. Maybe it's because I did something wrong, I don't know, but it was very shocking to me when the end credits popped up. It felt incomplete. The swinging mechanics are great, although they're a bit more complicated than in the first game's. That might be a plus or a minus depending on the person. I thought it was cool, but preferred the first one's swinging mechanics. You have access to various costumes and one of the costumes you can get early on is Miles's Ultimate Spider-Man costume! :D ... show more
