In a world where people are seen as mere pawns to fulfill missions, our main character is just trying to survive. When he goes on a mission and returns with nothing, he gets sent on a very dangerous mission which changes the course of the MC's life and maybe the world in general. I thought it was an engaging story with an interesting world. My only critique would be that I wanted to feel a bit more connected with the characters, although there were some scenes where we got to know them better which I appreciated. All in all, I recommend it to everyone who likes dystopias and quests. ... show more

I just finished reading “The Alpha & The Omega 2099” and I can honestly say this one is going to stay with me for quite a wile. The author created an eerie but profoundly believable post-apocalyptic world where living is not really living. It is survival… just barely… by doing the bidding of a faceless power called “The Steel System”. Every day is a grueling struggle just to keep one’s own bed. I bought this book for two reasons. One, I am a huge fan of the Dystopian genre, and two, I learned via social media Valeri Velikov is a brand new author. I am glad I took the leap. As soon as I picked this book up, I couldn’t put it down. It was fascinating! I highly recommend it, and I will be passing it along to my eldest daughter. She’s going to love it. ... show more
