  • A Great Option for Shelving Setups
Size: 48" x 24" x 83"
This review is for: The All New Gorilla Grow Tent 2X4X6'11" - Tallest, Thickest, Strongest - Unmatched Durability in Hydroponic Indoor Grow Tents, 300lbs Hang Weight Capacity, Industrial Fabric, Reflective Interior I've been looking for a good grow tent for my atypical setup. I use Seville Classics UltraDurable NSF Steel Shelving 18"x4x75" and 2'x4'x76" in a 3 shelf configuration with the top two shelves each having dual 2'x4' grow lights underneath giving two shelves of 32.5" of growing height each. Up until now I have had to build my own grow tents, which does the job, but it doesn't look great and breaks down over time. The Gorilla grow tent fits right over my existing Seville racks with no problem. There was some extra space on top and I just put the box with the unused frame still in it and put it on the top shelf which now holds the top of the tent up so it doesn't sag. I don't use active ventilation. The material and zipper is heavy duty and the size is perfect for my setup. I'm very pleased with the size and quality of the tent and I'll be buying more. ... show more

  • Great tents
Size: 48" x 24" x 83"
This is a great tent. Heavy duty. You pay a little more, but it’s a sturdy tent. It’s my second one. I will use one for veg & the other for flower.

  • You get what you pay for
Size: 2' x 2.5' x 5'7"
High quality item, Gorilla tents cost a bit more than the cheaper options but you will appreciate the quality after actually using it for a grow. I started with a cheap $80 tent and it looked great when I first put it together, but after a grow the roof bars were sagging, the walls were worn and the cheap tent had a permanent bad smell. I learned a lesson and ponied up for the Gorilla, and after a few grows in this I am glad I did. High quality item, can't tell you how great the "window" feature is -this makes things much easier over the cheaper tents. I love the expandability in height although since I'm using a scrog I don't need the extra height. Would order again. A+ Update 03/16/16: I'm still using this tent, probably on it's fifth or sixth grow now? I always wipe down and clean the inside between grows, and it still works well for my purposes. Frame is still sturdy. The other cheap tent I had has completely disintegrated, I already threw it away. There is a *tad* bit of light-leak around the velcro windows, but if you are diligent about tamping it down every time you open it, it's fine. There is also a bit at the base where the zippers meet - originally a flap covered this spot well but over time it's stretched a bit and it doesn't seal. Neither are big deals nor are they deal breakers for me. My other tents didn't even make it this far.I would still order again, in fact I added a second one in early 2015. ... show more

  • LTGGT22 Vs GL60 - Spend the extra nickel and go first class!
Size: 2' x 2.5' x 5'7"
There are many things I love about this tent and very few that I don't. I purchased this before returning a Growlab GL60 which is very similar. I was able to compare them side by side so if you are in-between the two this review will certainly help. Starting with the negative - 1. So the item came in the retail packaging... Meaning you will get a box with not only the dimensions and and brief description, but also two full color GORILLA LITE LINE stickers on sides. The black and yellow stickers certainly stick out when on a brown shipping box. If you are looking to be discrete keep this in mind. 2. There was a piece of metal rolling around inside one of my poles. It didn't affect my use of the item and I was able to shake it out once it situated itself, but I expect high quality control from premium vendor$. Also, I noticed that the poles used were identical to those of the GL60 (identical packaging, same thickness, same white powder coat and same labeling). I would be willing to bet they source their poles from the same vendors. Not a real negative as they are both premium options. 3. One of the ports was missing one of the plastic spring loaded deals to cinch the ports closed. Again, a quality control issue. 4. Only one load bearing support pole at the top whereas the GL60 gives you two. The way I understand it is the two lower poles support the weight of the pole(s) above. The GL60 came with a total of 4 poles at the top for cross bracing where the Gorilla only has 3. However, i'm sure they're both plenty strong. I was just worried about positioning my poles so everything can hang where I need it. 5. The port openings are generous...read HUGE! In this size setup I can't imagine anybody requiring that big of an opening. Could be a good or a bad thing depending on the person. Maybe better to have than not though. 6. Doesn't come with the pictured height extension! 7. A few loose ends of strings here and there. Could be better and again quality control. Nothing that scissors and a few minutes couldn't fix if you're that kind of person. The positive - So despite the quality control issues, the positives far outweigh the negative. 1. Out the box you will see that everything is fitted nicely into a carrying bag. The bag is made out of the same material as the tent. Reflective material on the inside and all. Its nice to have this bag in case you need to break it down to move or store it away. The bag also shares the same zippers as the tent. 2. The fabric is super heavy duty. Like a Marmot or North Face backpack shell. The fabric is tough and thicker than the GL60 but surprisingly not as rigid. The Gorilla is more like tough heavy duty fabric while the GL is more like super thick crinkly tarp. 3. Not sure if the diamond texture gives you any real advantage, but it sure does look more appealing than the normal mylar interior. 4. Instead of having three velcro windows at the bottom you get one at the back and two large ports on the side. This makes more sense as they are much better suited to making a light tight air intake. The two side vents at the bottom of the GL60 leaked light around the stitching and velcro which bothered me a lot. Also, as most people will probably have the back of the tent up against a wall it makes sense to have only one mesh screen opening at the back. Further, the ports cinch well and no light can get get in or out. 5. The windows are awesome! the only drawback of the windows is they have the fiber optic affect at the edges. Meaning there is a very faint glow at the edges of the plastic where it is stitched together. You won't see it unless you are right on the tent looking down at the seams.Don't confuse this with the glow of a zipper or stitching leaks, its not that intense. 6. The extra height and 1/2' footprint makes this thing seem a lot bigger than the GL60. The extra 1/2' in width was worth the difference in price alone! Also, the extra height is awesome as it gives you more space to hang all your stuff and it buffers the temps better keeping it cooler than the GL60 with the same equipment. 7. The top is a separate piece. I don't need the extra height and it would probably be top heavy if you added the extension with such small footprint, but its nice to have the option if you ever need it (!!!doesn't come with extension kit!!!). 8. They have figured out how to make it lightproof which is the MOST important part! On all the zippers and adjoining sections of the tent there is a generous lip made out of the same material as the tent. Seems like a no brainer but the GL60 didn't have it so there were all kinds of leaks around the zippers and stitching. GL60 had a narrow black fabric lip that wasn't too effective. On the front vertical zipper there is a double layer of material and velcro on the backside at strategic locations to hold the pieces together. They definitely went the extra mile on the front side and it works like gangbusters. All the extra flaps get in the way when unzipping it all, but the extra few seconds spent undoing the velcro and flaps is small price to pay for complete darkness. Oh and I almost forgot the outside flaps also velcro down at multiple points to keep everything closed up nice and tight. 9. Unlike the GL60 the floor liner is appropriately sized. It fits well and velcros to the poles without pulling the other corners out of whack in the process like the GL60. 10. Metal corners...nuff said 11. Reinforced corners on the outer tent shell. 12. Very smooth zippers. On the GL60 I was always fighting to align the zipper and get it started, but not on the Gorilla. The zipper is much larger, easier to get on track without having to stretch the halves together and it glides really smooth. I don't think they're metal but I don't foresee them breaking any time soon. 13. The little pocket on the inside is awesome! whatever little doodads you use routinely can be stored there (meters, loupes, shears etc). Super convenient. So in summary I wish I would've just spent the extra $25 bucks the first time around and got the Gorilla. Hell I was about to spend almost that much on foil tape to fix all the leaks on the GL60 that the gorilla doesn't have! I have to say I am throughly impressed with the increase in quality and additional features of the Gorilla over the GL for such a small price difference. If you have the extra space and $ to spare save yourself some time and frustration and go first class. ***UPDATE*** So I notified Gorilla of the missing piece and I received a response and solution within an hour!!! So although I questioned the quality control, that extra nickel gets you first class customer service!! They have set a new standard for me. ... show more

I out grew my tent on my first grow and didn't think it would have been a problem but wish I had done my homework better the first time but this tent would be hard to out grow haha! ... show more

First of all, package came double boxed, very nice. Very thick feeling canvas tent. All things needed for install included. Assembly took me 2 hours, not as nimble as I used to be. Fully assembled, this tent is very sturdy and I really like the reflective interior. The zipper is far better than my last grow tent. This will handle all my grow equipment with ease. Top notch quality! ... show more
