This was very easy to assemble and is adjustable- as in you can remove the center pole to shorten it as needed. The tines are very sturdy. This is good for raking up debris, rolling turf and evening out dirt to lay turf. The grip is comfortable and did not cause blisters on my hands. I've used it to clear weeds from a section of my yard to replant and re soil and it really made a huge difference in getting it done quickly and efficiently. The bend of the tines is great for catching and lifting weeds as well.

We blew it and didn't get moss killer or soil sweetener on our lawn this year and are paying dearly for it. I figured if this worked on dead grass it would work on moss but we have really tough moss and the green grass is giving up before the moss is. It does work and will certainly be great for dead grass but I prefer my spring tooth rake for getting the moss out - it just wears me out however so was hoping this would work. It is really quite beastly and well made. The handle is a ten... Happy with the product and will kill the moss and see if it doesn't work better if the moss is dead.

The rake came in quickly and with no issues. The Thatch Rake is a 15-inch lawn dethatching rake that comes with a robust handle. This versatile grass grooming rake and handle is strong and does not bend easily. This efficient stainless-steel metal soil rake can be used for yard clean-up, in the garden weeding, and removing dead grass after mowing. I have used mine to clean the yard and it grabbed small sticks and leaves and excess grass easily. I would recommend this to anyone that needs one.

There are four segments to the handle, and two of them wouldn't tighten - we had to deform them to get them to tighten and stay tight. But other than that, once we got it together it's not a bad quality. It's got a nice wide head with sturdy blades that help you get the job done effectively and fast. Not sure how long it will hold up though, given the issues with handle assembly.

Epic FAIL all the way around! No, I am not being dramatic. I have ordered hundreds of items from Amazon, done about 500 Amazon reviews and this product easily makes my "10 Worst Products to Buy on Amazon" List. Not only did the handle fail, but when I continue to de-thatched my lawn, the bracket that holds the rake disconnected (shoddy spot held and cheap steel), and the tines were starting to bend. Detaching takes some effort. If you have a heavy build up of thatch, you need a solid and sturdy rake, strength & endurance, and a willing to go out and tackle the job. That is why most people hire a professional with a machine to de-thatch their yard. A de-thatching rake is for small areas- this rake, on the other hand, is for the trash. The company, Copiu, should completely recall this product and go back to the drawing board. Be careful, instead of one product, they have it listed as three separate products to stay ahead of the bad reviews. And will probably continue to slightly change the title to make it look like a new product. Regarding the handle, the title says "...Robust Handle". This is a way to get around pending lawsuits as they can claim they listed it as "yo-bust" the handle but was lost in translation. SHAME! I got this product from Amazon to review. So all this cost me was my time. At least I got about 200 sq ft of my lawn de-thatched before this rake fell apart. Do yourself a favor, skip this product and scroll on by.

This has got to be the most hard-core rake I have ever seen. This things clears anything you put in its path. The handle is a little flimsy, but the rake itself is solid. It also bolts onto the bottom of the handle with multiple bolts, so this thing isn't coming apart. If you're looking for the king of rakes, I would definitely get this one. You won't be disappointed.

I have a very large lawn in my backyard that has never been dethatched and it's definitely looking like it needs it so I was looking forward to putting this to the test. This company has some identical looking dethatchers with mediocre reviews due to the frame that holds the head to the pole breaking off so I was very concerned about that happening to mine. But so far it's holding solid and working like it should. I'm not seeing any red flags yet. Dethatching is sort of like a deeper version of raking and that it gets down into the undergrowth and tears most of it out. This gives your lawn more room to breathe and expand and reduces theft of nutrients by the thatch growing underneath. After doing about a third of my real lawn so far I can see that this is making a visible difference. The amount of material it is removing is far more than I could do with even my heaviest duty rake, so I know it's doing something I couldn't do before. I'm not seeing any grass being pulled out, just mostly ratty looking junk from between the grass. And it's quite a lot as I have already filled up one good size trash can and I'm just getting started. So at this point the main thing I would say that this tool could use is an extra d or t handle about halfway up the pole to give you extra grip and pulling power, but if you wear a good pair of gloves you can do the job. For me, being under 150 lb it's not easy work but it's good exercise. And that's compounded by the fact that this tool is substantially heavier than a typical rake, even a heavy duty one. If I have any problems with the head breaking off the pole I will update this review but so far so good. I hope this helps. Thanks for reading and liking.

I really needed a rake like this in the fall but I’m glad to have it now. We’re trying to get rid of crab grass and this rake will definitely help. I was able to use it now ( very early summer) in an area we want to expand for a larger driveway and it helped to clear the dead grass we’ve been working on clearing. A good study rake. I definitely have been getting a workout using it but it’s worth the effort and it’s helped a lot.
