On August 1st, I purchased the Gillette Labs Chicago Bears razor. Immediately loved the razor. Then in October I come across the Gillette Heated Razor. I never had a hot towel shave in over my 60 years of life. This razor is the best. Sometimes I want to shave twice a day because of how it feels. And the blades, one blade lasts a whole month. That's shaving once a day. They would probably last longer, but I change my blade every month on the 1st. I highly recommend this Gillette Labs Heated Razor. It's pricey, but well worth it. The Gillette Heated Razor is the best razor I have ever had the liberty to use on my sensitive face. This razor cuts close to my skin and with no irritation. There's no pulling of hair, no razor bumps or bleeding from cuts or such. I don't have to press hard or shave the same spots over and over. The charging stand charges phenomenally, looks amazing and the razor works 6-8 times before needing charged again. The travel charger works really well and as a bonus, is also a convenient way to store the razor for travel. Every razor I have used up to this point caused a problem or failed to work well. This one gets rid of the air but all while leaving my skin perfectly fine. No hair & no irritation therefore I can't ask for anything better. Some complain about the price but I have learned in my life that the majority of time you get what you pay for. Hence, my lack of success for everything cheaper up to this point but not anymore! Cheaper would be better but not at the risk of quality. I can say that as it removes my hair I don't even feel it doing anything. Yet the hair goes bye bye and I don't feel or see a thing other than a gliding heated razor. Absolutely love this razor and will continue to be an ambassador for the razor and brand. Bought this expecting too much I guess. It worked for a week. Then I went traveling for a few weeks without the razor, because I was in a hurry and simply didn't pack it. When I returned I put in a new blade only to see the razor lost all its charge seconds later. At that time it was too late to return it. Charging it now is wasted effort. The razor doesn't hold any charge. A few thoughts - The razor should charge through USB. Then I could actually travel with the razor, internationally. My Sonicare toothbrush does this without issue. - The razor cartridges should be more accessible. Other than Amazon or Walmart they're nearly impossible for me to find. - The travel case should have some storage areas. ... show more

The razor quality is great. Easy to toggle between heat settings. The standard charger is great quality as well. The magnets at both the base of the razor and the charging stand have a decently strong bond. My only gripe is the quality of the travel case. Questionable quality for the plastics used and the thin metal cover feels like it could dent pretty easily. I was definitely hoping for a higher quality travel case to really make the price worth it. This is by far the best shave I’ve ever had. Expensive but very good shave. I was expecting a vibrating razor since it was a Gillette. It does what it said it’s gonna do. Warms up fast feels very good in the hand and is very sharp.

It’s a great razor until it no longer charges. For the cost, I would think I would get three years use but it stopped charging after 2 1/2 years.
