I cook all the time and was looking for something to make cutting onions and hot peppers easier. I didn't find this to be the answer for that--at all. I actually find myself avoiding using this. It is not good for veggies or fruits that have a thick fleshy membrane, like onions and peppers, and it isn't particularly handy with potatoes either since they are so solid. It also doesn't eliminate the need for cutting with a knife, you will still need to quarter the veggie because it needs to sit directly on the grate and cannot extend even a little. The plastic is very lightweight and doesn't feel durable. If you are able to use it to chop, you then must clean all the nooks and crannies of the grates and press, as well as the plastic container. So rather than just cleaning your knife and a cutting board, which you will still need, you have a few other things to handwash. I used it for taco night and cutting the onion did not go well, see video. It did work better for the avocado, but you will need a firm one with skin removed. There are other useful tools included like a little peeler, mandolin, and egg separator though, and would make this useful in a small kitchen where you need one gadget to do a lot of things. I think if you have limited knife skills this may work for you, but you will need to press hard and hope the whole thing doesn't break. It also creates more cleaning and doesn't speed up the process when it doesn't work and you still need to chop anyway.

This is a review for the halirem 17-in-1 Vegetable Chopper, Mandoline Slicer with Container & 4 Blades - Multi-Function This little chopper has quickly become a standby in my kitchen. The easy to use tool and multitude of different blades means I can find the right chop for anything I need. This version also stores very cleanly so I don't end up losing parts. I have tried several vegetable choppers over the years, and the Thalirem 17-in-1 Vegetable Chopper surpasses every single one of them. This one truly stands out in both performance and design, and it has quickly become one of my most used kitchen tools. With other choppers I’ve owned, I always ran into the same issues. They struggled with harder vegetables, the blades dulled quickly, or they felt flimsy and unstable. This one is on a completely different level. It chops through even thick carrots with ease. I was genuinely impressed at how smoothly it handled dense vegetables without requiring a ton of force. Onions, potatoes, and even firm produce slice and dice cleanly and evenly every time. The blades feel sharp and durable, and the entire unit feels sturdy while you’re using it. It doesn’t slide around or feel like it’s going to fall apart under pressure. The container underneath is also a huge plus because it keeps everything contained and cuts down on mess, which makes meal prep so much faster and more enjoyable. One of my favorite features is how thoughtfully it’s designed for storage. I love that I can store almost everything inside the chopper when it’s not being used. I ordered this Thalirem 17-in-1 Vegetable Chopper, Mandoline Slicer with Container & 4 Blades for cutting my veggies. Mostly the onions make cutting onions so much easier. Less issues. The assortment of cutting tools is amazing. This is great but I wish the bowl part was bigger . My older one I am replacing is double this size so I removed one star. This is very easy to use and clean . The quality and value for your money is amazing

This chopper is really helpful for speeding up meal prep. It makes slicing, dicing, and grating much quicker, and the container helps keep everything contained and less messy while you work. The different blades give you good versatility for things like onions, potatoes, and cheese. That said, the overall build feels a bit lightweight, and some parts don’t feel as durable as expected. Switching out the blades can take a little effort, and you have to be careful when handling them since they’re very sharp. Overall, it’s a convenient tool for quick prep, but the quality isn’t the strongest for long-term heavy use.

This isn't commercial quality, but it's perfect for my home! I gave my daughter a similar product last year and we use it all the time. Some day (hopefully soon) her family will move out and I can have my kitchen all to myself again! With that being said though, when she leaves she'll be taking her chopper with her! I was so excited to be able to grab this! It is smaller than the one I got her, but it's just going to be me making smaller meals, so it's the perfect size! So far I've used it to dice onions and potatoes to make homefries, celery and eggs to put in my macaroni salad and celery for my egg salad and it worked great! The price is great and it's a huge time saver in the kitchen! Onions don't really make me cry anymore and dicing potatoes has never been easier! These are also great for dicing carrots and celery for soups! I'll never use every attachment, but I'll use most of them!
