I had used an earlier version of this for probably 15 years and was sad when it broke. The newer version is just as good. It is easy to use and I use it almost every day. Yes, I could accomplish the same thing with just a knife, but this is fast and I love the uniform size of the cubes created. I use it for chopping onions, celery, peppers, potatoes, carrots. I LOVE this Vidalia Chop/slicer. I still have the original Vidalia, but I’m giving it to my niece. I’m keeping the new one, LOL! I use it for chopping onions for hot dogs a lot. I use the slicer attachment for cucumber and onion sour cream salad. I chop the onions for soups and chili. I've been using the Vidalia Chop Wizard Pro Max for a few weeks now and I'm absolutely loving it! It's such a time-saver and it makes chopping vegetables a breeze. I used to dread chopping onions, but now I don't even mind. The Chop Wizard makes it so easy to get evenly-chopped onions without any tears. I also love that the Chop Wizard is dishwasher safe. Cleaning it is so easy, and I don't have to worry about hand-washing it and getting the blades dirty. Overall, I highly recommend the Vidalia Chop Wizard Pro Max.
