It basically a Veg-O-Matic from the 1960's with four exceptions. First, it takes a lot less space to store. Second, it DOES NOT slice (it only chops/cubes since both size blade inserts are grid patterns). Third, it has a storage bin to hold the chopped veggies and store the extra parts when put away. Fourth, it has "spiralizers" to make spiral slices and strips. It is easy to take apart and clean afterwards. And the blades are quite sharp. Time will tell if they hold their sharpness. I bought this because chopping onions and other veggies was getting increasingly difficult. For that, it works great! I took off 1 star because of the slicing limitation. ... show more

This product makes chopping a breeze, and I love the uniformity of the veggies - makes for more uniform cooking and is more visually appealing. The spiralizer attachments are also easy to use with great results. Clean up is easy because everything comes apart, and it comes with little brushes and picks to make sure all food items are removed when washing. We hand wash, so if you do the same, be mindful and careful around the metal blades.
