I had an older TI-84 in high school. I think it was a plus because it had a color screen but it was so much thicker than this one! I'm kinda mad I couldn't find my old calculator and had to buy a new one considering the price, but just for the thickness alone I'm almost glad I did. The old one was huge! This one's maybe twice as thick as my phone. I agree with others that it seems super overpriced considering I have an app on my phone that works pretty much the same and I use it a lot when I'm too lazy to go get my calculator to do homework. That being said, a lot of classes require this calculator and it's approved on pretty much all standardized tests so it's kind of like textbooks. Yes the price sucks but sometimes you've got to suck it up and fork over the money. If you can find a used one, definitely get that because a lot of people won't be using this calculator after school. Also, for those worried about durability, I try to baby this thing because of the price but it's taken some hard falls and no damage so far, so they're pretty rugged. ... show more

The calculators are fantastic work well in a college setting for students. The negative part of the review is that one arrived and had been opened with the cord removed. Contacted seller and they readily agreed to replace the cord. That is the last I have heard. Therefore I will have to purchase a charger cord that was part of the purchase. My first graphic calculator Pros: Thin and light. easy to use. enough battery. stable. Cons: Only supports decimal number. We can’t use hex or oct or bin.... As default, graph is drawn in rectangle, so a circle looks like an elipse weak processor does not support 3d graph and python overall: good but little expensive product. no regret. ... show more

I love this calculator!!! As a math and sciences major, it has made my life so much easier. It was kinda difficult to learn how to use it, but now that I know how it's like a whole new world. I just asked a professor and they showed me the basics. The rest I just figured out through trial and error. Math can be hard, specially when using outdated calculators. This calculator does so much more than ones I've had in the past. Theres tons of added features that make it worth just spending the money. ... show more

I got it for my son who studies engineering. He told me it was a great calculator for calculus and engineering classes. It is also great that it has Python.
