    • Great Calculator.
I teach statistics, and use the TI calculators all the time. Mostly I use a TI-84. Unfortunately, it doesn't always show up on the overhead projector very well. For that reason, and to have a spare for students who forget theirs, I decided to buy the new back lit version. The difference on the overhead is amazing! This shows up great. Not only that, the graphs look much nicer than on the old one, and it has a few additional features that the old one doesn't. Considering that this was marked down due to package damage, I got a good price on it as well. I really didn't see that much damage to the package, but I sure did love the price! Only one caveat - the calculator doesn't seem as robust as the older models. It is nice and light though, so I suppose that's a trade-off. I didn't think the blue was quite as pretty in real life as it is in the picture, but I didn't buy it for looks, so that's fine with me. ... show more

Well constructed and good quality up-to-date calculator approved by my son's High School Math teacher. The color graphing is much easier to see and the processing speed is faster than it used to be with the older color graphing models. This was great. It was everything I expected and is fantastic quality. Looks great, charges fast, and holds a charge for a very long time. I'm a college student taking a lot of math classes with my major so I use this quite frequently but only have to charge it roughly every 3-4 weeks. The full color backlit display is a huge plus also!     • Perfect for Kids Taking the SAT or ACT
It works for all the kids and all the tests! So, our kiddo needed this for the SAT tests and for classes. Then our second kiddo needed one too! We checked the website for the SAT and the ACT to be sure that this was one of the accepted calculators and it is. This works for STAT class as well as Math. It is light weight so you are not adding to the already heavy teenagers back pack. It comes with a cover to protect it while it is bouncing around in the backpack and It comes charged and ready to go. The only thing that would make this whole package perfect is a small drawstring bag to keep the charger and cables in. This is exactly what we needed! ... show more

Let's face it, I'm an RPN fan since my first HP-45 back in 1974 (which still functions on my home office desk). I'd be happier if the classes used HP Prime or the 50! So when my daughter needed a graphing calculator for precalculus -- we went to the dark side. I immediately attached it to the charger, ran thru some menus and things seem to work fine for a klutzy algebraic system. At least it will match the class. ... show more
