This is the best thing I have ever bought for a class. Its a little difficult to use at first but one you get the hang of it then it becomes such a time saver. It's a little pricey but can do a lot. In statistics it was wonderful. It helped me with factorials, two tailed graphing, z intervals, and just everything. I was on the fence about buying it because of the price but it is the best calculator that I have ever owned. Its sturdy and long lasting. Unfortunately, the calculator I received malfunctioned after about a week of use. Unsure what exactly triggered the "malfunction", but the calculator began to keep and display the same two lines even when changing menus between statistical calculations and normal functions such as addition and subtraction. This messed with the usability of the calculator as I wasn't able to clear the memory cache of the calculator or select other options without the calculator misunderstanding what I was trying to input. We have had this calculator for almost 4 years and it is still in perfect working condition. I used it for college and was then able to pass it to my daughter in middle school. Never had to replace the battery, screen still as bright as it was when we bought it. It has been dropped probably 100 times and ZERO issues with it.     • Sent a second one....DON'T BUY!
Last March I purchase a calculator and after a month the screen went blank. 10 months later, my niece tried to use the calculator for the SATs, and again the screen went blank. I have a refurbished calculator from another company that has lasted several years. Do not buy one from this company!

Exactly what my son needed for school at a comparatively reasonable price. TI is still a reliable brand, we bought a cheap scientific calculator earlier in the year only to find that it did not have all of the function that were needed.

It is what you think it is - the classic TI-83+. So useful. Easy to use and learn. Not the most advanced programming options, but it's a staple in the science/engineering/math toolbox. Got to have one.

I needed a calculator for my stats class. It is not the latest model but still can compute all the problems just like its newer counterpart model. I did not receive the cable shown in the picture.

The calculator works great and came with a pack of batteries. There is no noticeable damage to any part of it. The only thing I wish it had is the instruction booklet.
