Product description Most attempts to tamper with the basic gameplay of Tetris have fallen flat on their faces, but Tetris Plus is actually a decent take on the timeless classic. You can tackle a basic solo game of Tetris, challenge a friend in two-player mode, or go directly to the best portion of the game: puzzle mode.In puzzle mode, players control blocks as they descend from the top to the bottom of the screen. As they fall, you can spin blocks so that they land next to corresponding colors at the bottom of the screen. Gameplay is just like the original only with a few major twists. The bin that holds the pieces at the bottom of the screen starts out partially filled, while a little professor character climbs on top of the stack. Your job is to clear lines of blocks so that the professor can reach the exit at the bottom of the bin before a spiked ceiling smacks him in the head. Two players can also duke it out in puzzle mode, sending cleared lines to their opponent's bin. This isn't the best version of Tetris we've ever played, but it does still manage to offer a lot of entertainment for its low price. --T. Disk plays well without scratches and doesn’t freeze
This classic game came renewed and we have had no issues playing it in the PS1 or the psone consoles. It’s much more than just Tetris. There are several play modes and puzzle challenges. My kids are enjoying this classic game from my own childhood. It is not violent or questionable at all and I love that. The levels do speed up as you go so make sure to go fast! best version of Tetris ever
I adore this game. It has several different games to play, puzzle tetris, regular tetris, VS tetris, etc. The regular tetris game is my favorite version for this reason- the higher the level, the faster the pieces fall, but every few levels it gives you a "slow" speed to give you a rest, and gives you time to fix up whatever you may have messed up in the super fast ones. The puzzle game is also pretty fun. You have a little character, the "Professor," who climbs up the blocks you put down. The game starts with various blocks already in place, with the Professor walking around on top of them, and dangerous spikes at the very top of the screen. The object is to clear the blocks the Professor is walking on enough to get him to the bottom of the screen before the spikes fall on him. When he gets to the bottom, you move on to another puzzle with a higher difficulty than the previous one. I don't know how well I articulated that, but in any case it's really fun. It's a playstation one game, so you of course need a console that will play it, but it's so worth it. I bought a used PS2 just so that I could play this game. ... show more

It’s cheap for being an old game
My game came and it looked almost new and it plays great! I loved that it was so cheap too I played this game for years when I was growing up

BUY IT
This is an oldie but a goodie! My husband and I can play this for HOURS. He's the type that really hates to lose, but he will lose to me endlessly for this game.

Tetris plus a friend
This is the only Tetris game I've played other than the original on Gameboy and it holds up fairly well to the original. I got the game mostly for its multiplayer functions and the game was very inexpensive ( less than $2 as of early 2018). It says classic mode and puzzle mode are single player only but that is not true, they are both 2 player. Classic mode is a little different than before. The levels now increase based on time (shown by a bar on the side of the area you build up) and how many lines you complete, rather than just every ten lines. I have mixed feelings about this. The speed increase between levels is difficult to determine. Sometimes you go up a level and the pieces don't go much fast and sometime there is a huge increase speed between levels. I think it may have to do with how many lines you get in a level but I'm not entirely sure. I would have liked the option to have classic mode be just like how Tetris was on nes or Gameboy, that would have been perfect. Puzzle mode is weird. There is a guy (the professor) that will climb up any blocks you drop on him. There are spikes at the top that get lower over time and if he touches them you lose. I don't really like puzzle mode, the professor always seems to want to climb right up into the spikes. Maybe I don't understand puzzle mode but it wasn't the main reason I got the game. Head to head mode is only for 2 players. Its basically the same as puzzle mode when you complete at least a double your opponent gets blocks added to the entire bottom row. Its decent it would have been better if the professor was not there. Its still a pretty good game, there are just a few things that hold it back a little. ... show more

VERY hard to find item
When my copy of Tetrus Plus was broken, I went on a quest to find a new one. I soon found out that it was not going to be an easy task. But, it was worth the hunt. I love this game. It's a fun way to just unwind after a long day.

a blast from the past
Arrived on time and in excellent condition. This game is a blast from the past. Brought back fond memories from when my wife and I were first married and we would play against one another.

Don't lie just to sell something
When I bought this game, it said it can be played on any of the PS that was a lie, I was so disappointed I was really looking forward to playing it again.
