  • LE is easier to set up
Very sturdy and will be great for camping. Comfortable. I would definitely recommend the LE version for anyone looking to make set up easier; if I didn’t have the extra handle I wouldn’t have been able to set it up myself . I’m a 29 y.o female and it Would have been impossible by myself. I’m happy I paid the extra 10 For it. ... show more

  • Great but don’t plop down on the side edges.
This is a great compact cot! There is an innovative red device on one end that makes the cot fabric very taught! But be careful. My brother has one too and he plopped down on the long edge between supports and caused the horizontal bar to buckle. Fortunately this horizontal cot bar can be removed which we did and inserted an old tent pole through it and the repair worked perfectly. Bring some simple tools with you in case this happens to you. There “is” a flyer included in the package instructions that tells users not to sit on the horizontal edge rails. I think they sell replacement parts but I haven’t looked into it. I also use three transverse 1” wide fabric straps (not supplied) to hold down the air mattress (not included) to prevent it from shifting while sleeping. Got great sleep scores with this cot, close to 90 on my wrist watch. Carrying case is nice and it doesn’t eat up tons of space in your car. Easy to assemble and very comfortable. ... show more

  • Using in a van camping full-time, works well
My van camping sleeping design was to use a cot. I tried 2, 1st was another brand and was to give me more width - 34 inches. That cot wasn't the least sturdy just sitting on it. I have now used this cot for 16 straight nights and it's working for me. The red tensioner is a must and really saves your fingernails. The cot will sway a little but is solid, I'm 200 and feel it will easily hold a lot more. You can sit on it if you wish, anywhere on it. I open it up each night and pack it away in the morning. No plastic parts that will fail from excessive use. It is 25" wide and after queen beds I had to get use to it. That took 2 nights. And, yes it is on the hard side and I use a pad on it but I get a great nite sleep. The side benefit for me is I can sleep outside the van when it gets warmer. ... show more

  • Best bed my kid has ever had, and she's had some nice ones!
I bought this for my daughter because we are moving into a house one step up from tiny. She's had all mannervof real beds in her life, and this is her fav! She uses her Twin memory foam mats on top of it and snuggles right in! Okay, so it's not exactly camping, but if we went camping, which is highly unlikely, she could literally take her bed with her. Sleep over? Take her bed with her. Thunderstorm? Take her bed in my room. Friends staying over? Fold up the bed and put it out of the way, share the mats. And according to her I bought her the best bed she's ever slept on! She's always had comfortable beds, with the exception of one miserable bunk bed, which didn't last long. Pros: Kid loves it; Long enough for me at 5'9"+-; Sturdy; Portable; Stowable; Easy to set up; Easy to take down; Comfortable even without mats (according to my kid); Compact enough for a very small room; VERSITILE. Cons: 20 lbs so hiking to a campsite might be an issue. But not for me, because I like my AC, thank you very much! ... show more

  • Nicely built portable bed
This is a great product for the price. It feels very solid and does not fall on your head when you are trying to get out of the bed. It folds into small package and very easy to fit in any car. The carrying case is nice. Negatives: 1. I would have liked a zip to close the carrying case so that the aluminum rods are secure and will not disappear during transportation. 2. The opening and closing of the bed is a significant pinching hazard so care should be taken. Overall a great portable bed. I hope it will last for some time. ... show more

  • Great for bad backs
Love the strength of this. The cot is very taut. I loved that you can’t feel a center support. I am hoping that after sleeping in it a couple of times it will be as easy to assemble as the videos show. I can get everything up by myself except for the last end piece. That is when I need help pulling the bar out far enough to tilt into place because the canvas is stretched so tightly. Either way I am impressed with the quality of the product and so was my husband when he decided to take my word (based on my research) and bought one at the same time as I did. He loves his. We got the XL single cot each and it is very spacious. I still needed a topper because the cot is firm, but I have to have that support while I need some softness too. I will be sleeping on it on Saturday and will let you know if I change my opinion of the cot. ... show more

  • Easy to set up, feels well built. Get a foam pad.
I was looking for a replacement for my futon. I purchased both the cot and appropriate pad. The pad arrived a few days later than the cot, so I ended up sleeping on just the cot for a few nights. While I was able to fall asleep, it was a bit too firm and I didn't sleep well on just the cot. With the pad I sleep like an angel. It's not super cushy or anything, and that's what I prefer. I wake up well rested and without the typical neck pain I found sleeping on my futon. I'm aware the intended use is for camping, but I'm going to be using this as my primary bed for quite a while. I would have gone with the XXL, but it costs quite a bit more(~$110 each for the pad and cot, $220 total vs the ~$140 this set ran me) and I'm on a budget. I'll keep this review updated if I have any issues, I'm certainly going to be putting it through its paces. ... show more

  • Amazingly Comfortable
A great purchase. Beats folding beds and blow up beds. I bought the adventurer size. It was soooo comfortable. Supports your back very well. I couldn't believe how comfortable and sturdy it was. The reason I bought the smallest is because I travelled to Jamaica with it. I carried it in an army styled duffle bag. Another great feature is this cot can fit even in a corridor, in front of a sofa. The foot print is so great. I really can"t say enough good things about this purchase. A really great buy. ... show more
