The extremely sensitive sensor is able to function anytime with a range up to 1,999 ppm. Both visual and audible alarms with an adjustable high and low threshold simplify servicing and maintenance of heating systems during inspections of homes and commercial buildings. The compact design of the HVAC servicing instrument in combination with the included belt clip soft case enable a convenient hands-free application. Every household should have one of these! As someone who has lost a family member to CO poisoning, this really gives me piece of mind. When I turned it on, I had a reading of 6 in my bedroom. I slowly walked around the house and as I got closer to my kitchen, the reading got higher! In front of my stove it said 14 and in the back of the stove, the reading quickly went to 31! With this device, I can see exactly where it is coming out of the stove! Needless to say, I’m now looking for a new stove!     • Good replacement for old Fluke that stopped working
I've used Fluke for most of my career as a home inspector. Decided to give Testo a try after problems with calibration and warranty with Fluke. I like this CO detector a lot. It's intuitive to use and appears to be adequately sensitive. Would recommend.

In the HVAC service in gas fired furnaces/gas package units, it's another great tool to have in checking suspicions of CO in the living/working environment to help guide you along and prove that there is an acceptable or an unacceptable amount of CO.. if you don't have one of these you are not doing a credible job for the customer! I've had Testo gauges and test equipment from them for some yrs now with good overall success. ... show more

    • Good, accurate CO meter
After the meter arrived, I tested it using CO Test Gas (1850ppm CO in nitrogen) mixed with a 1:10 dilution ratio with air in a sealed plastic bag with the meter inside. After mixing the maximum reading was 167ppm which I consider to be pretty accurate considering the crudity of my test setup (theoretical is 185ppm assuming exactly 1:10 dilution). Inside the passenger compartment of my running car it read 0ppm at all times. It also read 0ppm at all times in my apartment. I am very pleased with the performance so far. The only negative is that the physical construction feels a little cheap - time will tell whether it is durable. It would also be nice if it had a backlight on the display. ... show more
