One issue: the on/off switch is on the side and I kept hitting it during the curling process. So several times I had to stop and turn it back on. I have thin short hair, this worked well but the pencil gave a tight perm like curl. I need to get a wider or regular size one to compare. But all in all it worked as it should. A tad big for travel but no different than any regular size. Liked the selection of heat temperatures too.
