Description

Tackle flea problems within your home with the TERRO T230 Indoor Electric Flea Trap and Killer, designed to provide an effective trap that kills fleas in house without the use of sprays. The trap utilizes a combination of light and heat to mimic a warm-blooded host, attracting fleas from up to 30 feet away. Once the insects are lured in, they become immediately stuck on the SuperGrabber glue board. This indoor electric flea trap is refillable and features a protective canopy to avoid accidental contact with the sticky surface by people or other pets. Using a TERRO Flea Trap is a breeze: simply insert the glue board, plug it in, and place the fly traps indoors where fleas are common, such as in pet sleeping zones or upholstery-heavy spaces. Replace the glue board every two to four weeks to maintain optimal effectiveness. Each set includes two glue board inserts, with additional refills available separately.

  • Super convenient
Style: Flea Light
This flea trap is one of a kind. There is no smell from packaging. You open it up and just snap a few things together and plug it in. The light has a decent output, it's warm lighting. Durability is there. Not thick plastic legs, but they hold up great. Size is about 6"x6"x6", just going off the top of my head. It's able to fit in a lot of places. The traps are decently sticky. Nothing like rat trap sticky, but enough to hold fleas and Flys. The life of the light bulb was not long at all. Maybe a week worth of hours in the bulb and it went out. Altogether, I'd say it was worth it. It caught about a dz fleas in the time we had it running before the bulb burnt out. (We do live in the country and have a lot of stray animals coming and going. Aprox 2 or 3 fleas a day come inside from just walking outside and back in.) But this is a lot more convenient then spraying chemicals, or constantly having to wash everything in hot water to kill the fleas thay make their way inside. (We do not have pets inside, so I can not vouch for how effect it would be from helping with fleas on pets. Such as if the fleas would prefer the light to the animals) ... show more

  • Doesn't seem to work
Style: Flea Light
I recently adopted a 3 month feral, straight out of my yard. He has fleas, no doubt about it, but I can't apply a flea treatment because he won't let me touch him yet. I hoped this would help along with capstar to keep the flea population relatively under control. But it didn't catch a single one. Not one flea, not even a fruit fly or gnat or spider. I would love to boast on how clean I keep the house, but I know it's not an absence of bugs. I touched the light bulb and it doesn't feel that hot at all, so not sure if my product is defective or it just doesn't work in general. It sucks, because the Terro baits for ants do work wonders, so I had high hopes for this one. ... show more

  • Effective bug traps
Style: Flea Light
This is very effective for luring little bugs to their doom. When the cat came in with fleas, we put these near where he likes to hang out. One was in the closet, one was under my desk, another under the bed, another in the living room. We also powdered the carpet and applied some stuff to the back of the cat's neck, but didn't use any foggers. The lights and sticky traps were very effective and did not come with obnoxious smells or chemical risks, and we could see how many bugs were caught. Multiple different kinds of critters were caught, generally only at night. Of course, the cat occasionally put a paw or tail in the sticky bit and lost some hair that way, but it didn't take very long before all the fleas were gone. I don't care for the durability of the lights, they didn't last very long and had to buy some replacements. Also had to buy replacement sticky bits to make sure the trap stayed effective. But we're keeping these little doodads in case the cat gets out again. ... show more

  • Effective design, bulb malfunctioned
Style: Flea Light
This is easy to put together and I immediately saw bugs on the board (within 2 hours). I bought three on a friend’s recommendation and placed one by each main door we use to enter the house and decided to move the third around the house wherever we saw activity. The whole reason for choosing this style of trap was the light, which didn’t make it 24 hours. I had high hopes for this and figured I’d end up replacing the light eventually, but not right away. ... show more

  • It does exactly what it says it will do. So why 4 stars?
Style: Flea Light
I've given this product only 4 starts due to the fact there are better options that could potentially be a more permanent solution. The pros: it is quiet as there are no things that could make noise about it. No cleanup cuz all bugs are stuck to the sheet and the sheet is easy to remove. Its relatively small meaning you could stick it anywhere. I couldn't see this being a fire hazard unless you just don't have breakers. It catches all sorts of bugs not just fleas. But it catches mostly fleas. The cons: I could see this trap becoming expensive in the long run. The sticky mat has only been on for a week now and it's already full of bugs and dust. Ive read other reviews saying the light dies in roughly 2 weeks. It comes with 2 sticky mats so if thats the case you're looking at needing to buy a new one of these every 2 weeks. Which could quickly add up depending on your needs. The sticky trap collects alot of dust and if you accidentally touch it it'll collect you. It attracts more then just fleas which would be great except some bugs can escape the trap. In my experience it was a stink bug and I hate stink bugs. You have to either wait for it to die or attempt to unstick the bug with a paper towel or something which is a huge mess so ofc you'll leave the bug just know it'll get out eventually. All around it's a solid bug stopper but for like 20 more bucks you can just get an indoor bug zapper and they surprisingly kill fleas too. I will post pictures of this trap and the zapper I bought around the same time. Conclusion. It's a nice temporary solution if you don't normally have bugs or just don't like to sweep up the bodies. I'd personally just go for the zapper as it claims the bulbs last up to 5 years and it also comes with 2 new bulbs and it kills all sorts of bugs including the fleas. ... show more
