  • A Real Step Up from Nespresso: Better Taste, Same Ease
Color: Cloud
I’ve used Nespresso for years, and for a long time it felt hard to beat: fast, consistent, and convenient. But after going through a huge number of pods every month, I started wanting something that delivered better coffee and a more elevated daily experience without becoming high-maintenance. That’s what led me to the Terra Kaffe Demi. The biggest upgrade is the coffee itself. The Demi makes espresso that tastes much closer to what I’d expect from a good café (richer, smoother, more layered, and noticeably less bitter than pod coffee). With Nespresso, I had gotten used to coffee that was decent and convenient, but a little flat. The Demi made me realize how much flavor and texture I was missing. Even simple drinks like an americano or lungo taste cleaner, fuller, and more intentional. The drip coffee option is also a real plus, which makes the machine more versatile day to day (drip has become my go-to, it's like a barista crafted pour over but all I have to do is press a button - very impressed). What surprised me most is that it still feels incredibly easy to use. I expected more friction moving from pods to whole beans, but the Demi is refreshingly straightforward. Add beans, fill the water, make your selection, and it does the rest. The interface is intuitive, the workflow is simple, and the machine feels thoughtfully designed. It gives you the upgrade in coffee quality without turning the process into a project. I also really appreciate not having to deal with pods anymore. Buying fresh beans feels like a better ritual, the coffee tastes better, and there’s less waste and clutter. That alone has made the switch feel worthwhile. From a design standpoint, the Demi is excellent. It looks premium, modern, and clean without dominating the kitchen. It has a smaller, more refined presence than many machines in this category, and it genuinely looks like something designed to live on the counter, not just sit there as an appliance. Yes, it’s more of an investment than a pod machine. But for anyone who drinks coffee every day and cares about both convenience and quality, I think it earns it. For me, switching from Nespresso to the Terra Kaffe Demi felt like a meaningful step up that has delivered better espresso, better design, less waste, and is still incredibly easy to use and live with. It’s one of those rare products that actually changed my daily routine for the better. If I could give this review six stars, rather than the limit of five, I would. ... show more

  • Perfect coffee machine for our office! 10/10
Color: Slate
I’ve spent the last few weeks using the Terra Kaffe Demi daily, and it’s easily the most impressive espresso machine I’ve owned. It feels like someone finally built a machine for people who care about design, coffee quality, and convenience equally, instead of forcing you to compromise on one (or more) of those. First, the size. The Demi is shockingly compact for what it does. It actually fits under cabinets without turning your kitchen into a workstation. Most machines in this category dominate the counter. This one looks intentional. Minimal footprint, clean lines, nothing flashy or gimmicky. It feels like a piece of modern kitchen gear rather than an appliance you try to hide. Setup took maybe 10 minutes max! Fill the water tank, add beans, turn it on, done. The screen is simple and responsive to the selecting wheel, and the menu makes sense immediately. No manual required. That sounds small, but it matters because automatics often feel like programming a microwave from 2006. Now the important part: the coffee. The espresso quality is consistently excellent. Rich crema, full body, and balanced flavor without constant tweaking. The grinder is quiet and fast, and dialing in drinks is straightforward. You can customize strength, volume, etc. so mornings become a one-tap situation. That convenience adds up fast when you’re making multiple drinks a day. What surprised me most is consistency. Every drink tastes the same day after day. That sounds obvious, but it’s rare. With manual machines, you’re always chasing yesterday’s perfect shot. With the Demi, you get repeatable results without the ritual or the mess. Maintenance is refreshingly painless. The machine guides you through rinsing and cleaning cycles, and everything is clearly explained. It feels designed for real life instead of hobbyists who enjoy taking machines apart. Who this is for: people who love espresso drinks but don’t want coffee to become a hobby or a morning chore. It removes friction without sacrificing quality. That balance is hard to pull off, and this machine nails it. After weeks of daily use, I can honestly say it has replaced my coffee shop visits almost entirely. It’s fast, consistent, and genuinely enjoyable to use. Five stars without hesitation. ... show more

  • FOUR failed machines in 40 days. and counting Too Expensive, Many defects and negatives
Color: Slate
Machine Failure #3 day 45 After weeks of going back and forth with customer service, they sent another machine. It always made smaller coffees because it was losing water. But now it’s not grinding and a ton of water leaking out on the counter under the machine. So I’m out $600. Machine Failure #2 Day 38 edit: The replacement from the first failed machine would not release the brew unit and I could not make coffee anymore. So Teri Café sent me another new unit. I should have pushed for my money back since I had until February 1 to get my money back and I accepted a replacement instead. Unfortunately, this new machine is dumping water into where the pucks come out again and it’s making a weird noise. Really tear Café should just go out of business if they can’t produce a machine that’s so expensive that works. Day 20 edit: I contacted Terra Kaffe numerous times and after 3 weeks of communication they sent me a new machine. It doesn’t squeal. No leaking. Makes good quality coffee varieties. Still no manual, no filter; and haven’t had to clean it yet. I hope it lasts because it makes a.quality coffee. The company took the defective one back. Day 10 edit: The machine is squeaking and squeaking. Water discharge tray is overflowing due to an internal leak. Pucks are not formed even in the highest grind scale. Disappointed because the coffee is hot; and the coffee customization feature is great. But this machine is more then double the cost and needs some engineering upgrades to fix the defects. Only 12 coffees made so far. Day 3 Edit: The espresso puck was not formed so I dialed the grind to 5, which is the limit. Other machines have up to 10. It now makes a somewhat formed puck, but still soaking wet and crumbly. The puck discharge hopper always has water in it. It does not hold many waste pucks. After 4 coffees, it must be emptied. I suspect that is due to the water that is not supposed to collect in there. The waste water discharge hopper doesn’t hold much rinse water either. It’s very shallow. The coffee water supply holder needs to be larger. You can only make 14 oz of coffee with the water supply. The machine makes a stressed squeaking sound. I found the filters which you need to pay $20 for each. And I found the 56 page manual online that needs to be printed . You can buy a $500 cheaper machine which makes the exact same coffee. This one will be returned due to the lack of the filter, small waste hoppers, inferior puck formation, leaky waste water, and the high filter cost, and the the squeaking internal mechanics, which are already sounding stressed. Original day 1 review: Brand knew today. If you’re looking for the true European style coffee, this makes it. So far ….. (There is no manual included and there is no water filter which is referenced in the starting up instruction sheet. Coffee is hot. No need to reheat like other automatic machines. You can customize your drink; but the selection dial gets stuck so you must turn off the machine to reset it. My last machine was Tichibo which was an excellent machine. But they no longer sell it in the United States. This one is A LOT more money. I’m hoping it can stand up to that machine. Three stars because no manual is included, the settings button appears to get stuck so you have to turn off the machine to reset it, and there was no water filter included which the single sheet set up page referenced. ... show more

  • Love my Demi!
Color: Slate
Very fond of my Terra Kaffe Demi. Really makes great espresso very, very easily. Once I spent a little time with it, the button became intuitive. Care equally simple. Looks cool on the counter too. After a couple months, discovered how important it is to clean everything weekly-ish. Using it daily this matters, especially brewing multiple espresso shots times two. But not a big deal at all. The design makes it easy. Thank for the easy, and cool, flat whites - every morning! ... show more

  • Best part of my day! This machine is awesome! 10/10
Color: Slate
I'm a New Yorker, and coffee is important to me. The Terra Kaffe Demi is the first at-home machine that tastes as good as the best coffee in NYC. Even better, it fits perfectly in my NYC apartment. It makes any coffee based drink I want: espresso, americano, drip, etc. It allows me to customize my settings (volume, strength, number of shots) and is a super intuitive machine. Cleaning, when necessary, takes about 30 seconds. It also only takes 30 seconds to turn on and heat up in the mornings. Lastly, I can load beans into the top and it makes single-serving brews every time. No wasted beans, ever. This machine will pay for itself within a month or two. It's become my favorite part of the morning routine: press a button, and a few minutes later I have something that tastes like it came from a proper coffee shop. No barista training required. The build quality feels premium without being fussy. Everything is straightforward. Highly recommend to anyone who takes their coffee seriously and wants a machine that grows with them. Couldn't possibly be happier with my purchase. ... show more

  • Obsessed!
Color: Dune
I just got my demi machine and I’m already obsessed! It’s the perfect size for my kitchen. My sister has one and I’ve been jealous of hers for so long, so I finally had to get one of my own! The coffee is amazing, it’s so easy to use, and I love being able to make a coffee-shop-quality drink at home. It’s quickly become part of my morning routine and I honestly don’t know how I went without it. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Quality of Coffee Didn’t Match the HIGH Price
Color: Slate
This was my first machine from Terra Kaffe and I was super excited for it to arrive. First of all, the design is beautiful, and it blends seamlessly into my kitchen. It seemed to have all the features that I was searching for and came in a small footprint with a very well designed exterior. The setup and the included one page instructions instruction with their on their website code. The instructions on their website are very minimal. It just says to run it twice to get it ready for your first cup of coffee. I made an espresso and it was so so. The website or printed instructions never mentioning adjusting grind dial size or other settings for each drink type to get your desired result. I guessed the dial in the bean basket was the grind size, adjusted and brewed maybe 3 or 4 shots to try and get the correct expresso setting. The Demi never seemed to brew a solid cup of expresso, drip or Americano. We tried several different grinder and brewing settings. The Americano and Drip coffee was decent, but we had to add an espresso shot to get the right intensity. The brewing pressure is too low to get real espresso and full bean flavor. Pros: Quick setup, easy to use, smaller & lighter than other machines. Cons: Not a true pressurized espresso machine, expensive, quality does not match the price. ... show more

  • Best Coffee Maker EVER!
Color: Slate
Absolutely love this coffee machine. Best I've ever owned. The simplicity is what makes it nice. Just add the beans and it's ready to go. The reservoir is 1.5 quarts so it makes several drinks before I need to refill. Incredibly convenient and a very nice quality espresso. Very sleek design and doesn't take up much counter space which is a big bonus. BTW-the coffee tastes phenomenal!!! ... show more
