Due to an increase in home break-ins in our area, I decided to keep a loaded pistol in the nightstand next to our bed. However, I wanted to balance access, security and owner responsibility. This unit hits the mark. When at home, I can open the drawer, unlock the safe and access the pistol very quickly. But when not at home or have guests in the house (including children, house cleaners, etc.), I lock the safe and take the key with me. The safe is reasonably sturdy. Since I was able to attach it to the drawer with two screws, it provides adequate security from most thefts.

Simple but efficient. I would have given it 5 stars but this box does not have enough height to handle a large pistol. After pulling out one of the pieces of foam I was able to get a Glock to fit but was a bit frustrated. However I gave the box to a family member that owns a thinner pistol and it fit with both pieces of foam. Outside of that the lock works well and it comes with a cable to secure to bed or night stand etc. Good for those kind of things which is ok considering the price. Bottom line if you have a small gun or weapon and you need to keep it safe from others or children its better than nothing!

For just keeping kids out of it or nosey people away this works perfect to just simply lock your things up. It's not the highest quality it's not the strongest but for simplely locking stuff in it it works great! The padding is a nice touch my piece stays nice and safe and doesn't move inside. 👍 Would recommend for anyone looking for a cheap little holder to store their pieces in.

I wasn’t expecting much, however it fits a full size 1911 pistol and came with screws to mount the lock box as well as a steel cable for similar purposes. Overall perfect for locking up my gun in my nightstand.

If you enjoy hitting the road and camping or just going on little day trips it's so nice to know that you can leave your things in your car and they're bolted with a nice heavy duty piece of wire that cannot be snatched out and I just think if someone was going to try their best to get into that they would make such a noise that I would be able to hear them or I think they would really go on to the next vehicle because this is not a choice it is every bit as strong as they say and I love it as a matter of fact I can think of about seven people right off the top of my head that after showing it to them they have ended up buying the same thing little piece of mind
