I bought this safer box because I have a 0.4 cubic feet but too small, I need a little bit bigger size to put my passports, important documents and jewelry, event thought great size for hand gun too. This safety box is 0.8 cubic feet which is double size bigger than my old one and perfect fit my everything in, it’s also great value and portable size that you can hide it anywhere. Overall, Easy installation, good quality, plenty of rooms for cash, hand guns, passports and plenty of rooms for important papers.

This was so close to being perfect for our needs. It is a nice size and can hold a lot of stuff, from business-sized documents to small boxes. The included half shelf is nice for organizing. I found the keypad to be both easy to set a combination with, and to use for opening/closing. Having a key for emergency access plus a battery pack for backup makes this a tremendous value. It isn't too heavy to move around the house as needed. However, because of how the door is hinged, it does not open wide enough to easily insert or remove longer items. While there is room inside for objects just over 12 inches across, the door opening is only nine inches across. Letter-sized file folders, for example, have to be manipulated in weird angles to get them inside. If they are rigid files or documents, there is almost no chance to insert them if there is anything else in the safe. When the shelf is in place it makes it even harder Even with the shelf removed, I often had to take almost everything out of the safe in order to access 8.5x11 files. If you are only placing smaller items inside, or can fold your documents, this is a great safe. But the inability to easily store and access file folders forced us to return ours. Which is a bummer because this is a much better value than what we will likely end up replacing it with. Also worth noting, while this safe does not claim to be either water or fire proof, because of the mounting holes on the back it most definitely will not keep the elements out. This safe should be considered for security use only.
