Not a bad little safe....but, it is very front heavy. The body of the safe is solid but not very thick, the majority of the weight is in the door so when you open it and it isn't anchored into the wall it will cause the safe to fall forward. The "leather" interior looks nice but the covering on the shelf wasn't glued very well and is coming away from the shelf as shown in the photos. The interior light works well and isn't very bright but bright enough to find objects inside in the dark. The shelf is removable, however it's a bit difficult to get out. The finger print ID works surprisingly well once programmed. I honestly thought it was going to be just a gimmicky kind of thing and not a fully functional finger print scanner but once I programmed it, it works well with the finger I used to program it and ONLY that finger as it should. Both barrel lock keys and the lock work fine. The digital keypad is a bit difficult to get to turn on, it seems to work better when there is some kind of light shinning on it. The biggest drawback to this safe is that it talks. Every time you put in your password or use the finger print ID a voice says "Please Open The Door" and there doesn't appear to be any way to turn it off. Nothing about the voice is mentioned in the owners manual at all and I didn't see anything about it in the description. I don't like the idea of people knowing every time I open my safe when they hear the voice. If you are using this for your home protection firearm storage you certainly don't want a voice letting the intruders know you've opened your safe! ... show more

I bought this for my teenager that likes to keep cash on hand, but didn’t want it laying around his room. I liked all the features. This came with, and when opening the box, started this right up, and was very easy to use with the directions. I did end up returning this because it wasn’t quite what I was looking for. It is much thinner in the walls that I wanted, I wanted something very sturdy, and I didn’t feel this was sturdy enough. If you’re looking for some thing that’s not extremely durable, then this is perfect. It has really cool features on it, which is what attracted me to purchasing. This safe omg if a burglar can get into this safe it would be a miracle. I've had several issues with setting up the pass code it only allowed me to use 3 numbers till i gave up. The door that hides for you to use the key has a mind of it's own. If it wasn't for the fact that the fingerprint works with little resistance i would definitely send it back but i have till March 13th to do so. ... show more

Had problems getting it to read my finger print. Had to give it time in between before it finally took. The holes to mount to the wall are right behind the shelf. Have to cut off tabs for the self to mount the safe. Good size to fit all my folders and paperwork
