  • A bit too "extra" for me.
Size: Queen (Pack of 1) Style: High Pattern Name: Dots
I wanted to love this pillow. I was coming from an almost ten year old Tempur Symphony pillow, which was just getting a bit worn out. I'm 6'0, 200lbs. side-sleeper. I would usually switch sides during the night, but I hurt my left shoulder a few months ago, and I have not been able to lay on my left side. This puts more strain on my right side, and I needed a better pillow to help me get through the nights. The Tempur Cloud Cooling Pro Hi seemed like a good fit. First of all...as far as the cooling aspect...that is legit...at least to start the night. It's almost too cold. I found myself wishing it would warm up a touch. It's sort of distracting how cool it is to start. Now by morning, that's gone. I suppose you could flip the pillow in the middle of the night, but this thing is heavy! Not easy to do with one good arm. I think Tempur considers this a medium in terms of firmness. I would put it closer to "firm" than "medium". Now I like a pillow that is on the firm side...but this is just a bit too much. It's another one of those things where it was OK to lay on to begin the night...but by morning, I was waking up with a stiff neck and a bit of a headache. It's almost like when you lay on it, you sink in just a bit, which I like, but then you can't really turn your head at all because the foam around you is too stiff. The cover is amazing, but I'm not sure that makes or breaks any pillow...especially because I would never use a pillow without a pillow case. So that beautiful cover just gets covered up anyway. So for me...this pillow was just a bit too "extra". Just a bit too tall. The cooling was a bit too cold (to start). The pillow was a bit too firm. I really wanted to love it...but it just didn't work for me. I did move to the Tempur Cloud Breeze Cooling Pillow, and I think that one is the Goldilocks pillow for me. Just right. It is cooling to start (gone by morning unless you flip), but not as icy as the Pro Hi. It's heavy, but not as heavy as the Pro Hi. It's firm, but not as firm as the Pro Hi. It's tall, but not as tall as the Pro Hi. The Tempur Cloud Breeze Cooling and Tempur Cloud Cooling Pro Hi are very similar pillows...but the Pro is just a bit "extra". Pro Hi is a little taller...a little firmer...a little cooler...better cover....but all that "extra" is not always a good thing, at least for me. I did like that the Pro Hi has a little bit different shape than the Breeze...it's flatter on the long ends, where the Breeze is just tapered...but I could still scoot either pillow down to my shoulder, so it wasn't a big deal. ... show more

  • Perfect Supportive and Softness with Height
Size: King (Pack of 1) Style: High Pattern Name: Cooling Pillow
This is excellent for support and mouldable comfort, in a 6.6” loft. I enjoy this pillow for its presence, @just over 10 lbs, it does not slide accross the top of the mattress when you want to ‘sink in’ for even more support. The surprising aspect of this pillow is that I use it for firm support of my neck and shoulders, but it is actually quite soft and comfy when you sink in it. I did not find it hot or uncomfortable, but it is NOT a cooling design, so you may want to use a cooling protector on it, if this is an issue for you. If you like a ‘full-sized’ pillow for cervical support and loft, this maybe right for you, too. It is Amazon’s Choice for good reason. ... show more

  • not for me but could work for some
Size: Queen (Pack of 1) Style: High Pattern Name: Dots
Will be returning mine. Ordered for high support as side sleeper. Male 5'11" 170lbs. Unfortunately, this pillow adapts to pressure too much and will slowly, and eventually sink your head to about 1 inch of support. I also find the memory foam quite frustrating to settle into as it takes a long time to inflate to original height but will squish down very fast. I'm a frequent mover though. As for the cooling aspect, it's a thin gel layer applied to both sides. If the temperature of your room is very warm already like 80 degrees, the pillow will not cool. From what I felt it worked at normal room temp 60-70 degrees. I would not pay the extra cost of this pillow just for the cooling. There are similar pillows minus the gel layer for under half the price. The gel does not cost what they are charging! There may be cooling gel pillowcases that can offer better value paired with cheaper foam pillows. I'd only use this for back position. Front position I'd try the medium. I can't imagine myself using the low pillow for anything. tldr; I will be trying another pillow (COOP eden) for side sleeping and not worth the cost for me. ... show more

  • Haven't had a migraine since
Size: Queen (Pack of 1) Style: High Pattern Name: Dots
I really wanted to take my time with this pillow. I purchased it June 2020 (writing this January 2021), so it's been a little over 6 months. I admit, I wanted to return it in the first two weeks. But my experience with things like pillows and mattresses, I really need to give it 3 months to notice what I like and don't like. I took a chance on this pillow given how expensive it was but I'm glad I did. First, it molds against your head and goes back into shape every single time. I thought it was too "soft" for this reason, but in reality, my old pillow was too firm. Which brings me to the next point, I haven't had a migraine since I started sleeping on this pillow. No headaches or neck pain either. I realized because it was so "moldable," it was giving me the exact height, firmness, and consistency I needed (I highly recommend going for the high height for added firmness). Finally, the "cooling" technology isn't very good. It just isn't. I use silk pillow cases for my hair, and it makes it feel so "sticky." I even tried a cotton pillow case and it wasn't much better except during the winter. I read that the cooling effects is really just even distribution of heat, and not any additional cooling - but even then, I think it fails there so I had to deduct a star. For all the other benefits (especially the lack of migraines), it's well worth it to me. I say give this pillow a chance. ... show more

  • My Favorite Pillow So Far
Size: King (Pack of 1) Style: High Pattern Name: Cooling Pillow
I have been on a decades long mission to find the perfect pillow. I haven't found it yet. But this pillow is the closest I've come. I have to admit that I was wondering if I was being suckered to pay this much for a pillow. But, after spending good money in the past, only to be disappointed, I went for it. I like firm, but not hard, pillows. My head doesn't sink in this pillow: it is caressed by it. I use a bipap machine with a full mask and I am able to sleep comfortably on my side with this pillow. I also don't sweat with this pillow. The one negative about this pillow (other than the price) is that it is very heavy. I mean this thing can be a weapon. I have to use two hands to manipulate the pillow. On the plus side, it stays where I put it when I sleep. ... show more
