And you'll get great results anywhere you go thanks to the custom- wound impedance-matching transformer. You don't need an expensive condenser mic to get studio-quality sound on stage: you need the Telefunken M80. • Love this mic Love this mic
This mic is pretty close to perfection. It can take a gain boost. The clarity in the low mids is crazy impressive. I pretty much run a flat eq with this baby, with the exception of a pull around 385 and another around 2.2, but that’s very stunted to my voice. Obviously the color choices make for a fun mic. I have two Neumann KMS 105’s - both of which need soldering - after three years. The M89 just feels durable. It has some weight to it. There’s a cut design in the base of the mic that allows you ti place it on a surface and it won’t roll. Hubs has a Sennheiser 945 and he has issues with top end feedback constantly. - I very yet to have real feedback issues and I’m pushing the gain around 31.5 on most gigs. While it is not a condenser, with the design being able to withstand higher gain, you can get the same effortless response. But make sure you have an amazing technician behind the sound board to use it that way. This is the best mic I’ve ever owned. It will be my workhorse for m at years to come. ... show more
