I just received 2 of these 8" clamps for use on the boat dock. While at first inspection they looked sturdy and well-made. The pics speak for themselves as the one clamp had a huge casting defect at a critical point - the 90° angle. The one was fine, the one pictured actually had a hole straight thru the clamp. I will contact the seller for a replacement, however, the seller should have seen this upon their incoming inspection and rejected it. An 8" clamp of this size is designed for strength. Totally unacceptable.

Beware of "Condition: Used - Very Good - Minor cosmetic imperfection on top, front or sides of item." The clamps I received are chipped everywhere and have rust on them. I would recommend Tekton hand tools with their lifetime guarantee to any do-it-yourselfer so I wasn't expecting such poor craftsmanship. Also, "malleable" is their way of saying it's cast steel - not forged. These might work for holding material while the glue dries, clamping a piece of lumber to your bench to work on, or to compress a working brake caliper, but they feel and look brittle. I wouldn't rely on them for anything too heavy duty. Only one star because, used condition or not, they should not have chipped enamel. I have had c-clamps in the bottom of my toolbox for over 20 years that have plenty of scratches, but these have large chunks of finish missing all over them. Plus, the rust in multiple corners?

It's a C-Clamp, and one made to acceptable standards of quality. It's certainly nicer than many bargain bin ones I've seen, though nothing crazy either. Still, if it works well and is deserving of its price range, I feel no reason not to give it five stars. Everybody needs a C-Clamp or two. They are one of the most versatile tools anybody can have. You can use them to compress brake calipers, hold things while adhesive cures, stop a fan belt while you remove an engine cooling fan, and so much more. I bought 6-inch at this time because it's one of the most versatile sizes, but will likely return in the future for some larger ones. When this thing is clamped down it feels very solid and there's no play in the shaft. I'm happy with it. Worth noting that this is made in China unlike Taiwan where a lot of Tekton tools are made. That said, it's a hunk of iron. The finish on mine was near perfect.

Really solid clamp. I got as an additional clamp for my kydex press and found it replaced all of my other clasps almost by itself, was really impressed with how fast and easy it was to clamp down with vs my other clamps, ordered a 2nd one and will probably just use these 2 on my press. If there was one complaint (not enough to sway my score) is my 1st one came scratched in several spots. Frankly that doesn't bother me but if it is something that might iterate you then be aware. Overall, very happy, as I mentioned I ordered a 2nd.

I purchased this c-clamp to replace brakes and rotors on my vehicle. There are a number of reviews that state it's great for this purpose (compressing a caliper). Unfortunately, I ended up paying an auto shop to do the work as I ran out of free time, and didn't get to use this c-clamp. It looks really great sitting in my garage though!

Great clamps! I bought two of these to help hold down a table-top power tool (mini) because I can't attach it permanently to the table. I also use this to hold pieces of wood attached to the table while I am cutting out a piece from the wood. For the table-top mini tool, I first put down two layers of a non-skid carpet material so that the tool won't slip. This way, the clamps hold tight and the table-top tool won't move while cutting is going on. The clamps are strong and hold without slipping around. I'm very pleased with them as a multi-use clamp. What more can you ask than that the clamps hold well, and that the screw works smoothly?

bought the 1" opening and was perfect for clamping together two stainless steel tables together so they wouldn't move, and pretty inconspicuous see pictures. easy to use and turn. looks like it will last for a long time. I recommend the small 1" opening so far so good!

Sturdy clamp. Spin handle little skinny but depending your intentions it will work fine. I "Was" going to use mine as a Bearing press ... it may or may not have worked. Thanks to my Buddy, I Used proper tools instead. Again STURDY Clamp.
