Description

Calibrated to an accuracy of +/ 4%, the TEKTON 3/4 in. Drive Click Torque Wrench lets you work with confidence, eliminating guessing and the common tendency to overtighten fasteners. Correctly tightening fasteners to a vehicle or equipment manufacturer's torque specifications ensures parts are properly secured without being damaged. Simple and easy to use, this wrench has a reversible ratcheting head that drives fasteners in both directions and measures torque in the clockwise direction. To measure torque, set the desired value on the handle scale (foot pounds or Newton meters) and begin tightening the fastener. When the preset torque value is reached, a reliable mechanical operation inside the handle produces a click you can hear and feel, alerting you to stop applying force. Built for consistent performance and years of dependable service, the mechanical design doesn't need batteries, and the allsteel construction has no plastic parts to break or wear out.IMPORTANT: This wrench is shipped precalibrated and ready to use. To help maintain calibration, store at its lowest setting of 50 ft.lb./67.8 Nm when not in use. Be sure to read and understand the operator's manual, including all safety information, before first use.Specifications:Range - ft.-lb.: 50-300 ft.-lb.Range - Nm: 67.8-406.7 NmIncrement: 1 ft.-lb. • Gets the job done
Size: 3/4 Inch Drive (50-300 ft.-lb.) Style: 3/4 Inch Drive (50-300 ft.-lb.) Pattern Name: Wrench
Odd that a rating feature on the Amazon review is "thickness" of this item - it's a torque wrench. I guess it's pretty thick since it's a 3/4" torque wrench? Anyway, I needed a wrench because my crank pulley needed to be tightened to 304 ft-lbs. After pricing a 600 ft-lb wrench from MAC and Snap-On at about $1000, I decided 300 would be close enough, since I could push it about 10-15 degrees past the 300 ft-lb 'click'. This thing worked like a champ. I had to use my leg to push it because it's just under 24" long, so not the leverage you would get on a longer wrench. For the money, it's great. Also comes with a hard case. Yes, it's made in Taiwan, but Taiwan far ahead of China in build quality. ... show more

  • great support, good products i'll keep buying the brand.
Size: 3/4 Inch Drive (50-300 ft.-lb.) Style: 3/4 Inch Drive (50-300 ft.-lb.) Pattern Name: Wrench
I purchased this after calling Tekton about my other torque wrench, ( it was having some issues, and has been treated like a baby ) I expected to have to put up a fight, assuming the warranty was the downfall of price; one email later a replacement was on the way. it takes me longer to drive to the big box store to trade in a tool then this took. ( if they have the larger stuff in stock ) This transaction convinced me to buy other products of theirs. its nice to have a 300# torque wrench in this price range. I only need this every once in a while while working on the truck, but when I need it - i need it. tool is a good balance of length and torque application ( thanks for not making a 18" 300# driver ) ... show more

  • Nice ratchet.

All my 1/2" ratchet are old and are difficult to use in small areas or restricted areas. The 90 tooth will give me a movement advantage. Hope they are durable, time will tell but I like what I have seen so far.

  • Acceptable & Works
Size: 3/4 Inch Drive (50-300 ft.-lb.) Style: 3/4 Inch Drive (50-300 ft.-lb.) Pattern Name: Wrench
It's a great product, its priced cheap, obviously you can spend more money on a torque wrench but its not always necessary and usually you pay for the brand. This product is simple, accurate, and will get the job done. If you're a trailer mechanic and change wheel seals a lot, this is a pretty important tool (not necessary but will make the job easier). ... show more

  • It works fine, but looks used
Size: 3/4 Inch Drive (50-300 ft.-lb.) Style: 3/4 Inch Drive (50-300 ft.-lb.) Pattern Name: Wrench
I already have been using the model that goes up to 150 pounds since 2018and it has not let me down. But now I have a trailer hitch that requires a large nut to be tightened to 260 ft lb. It worked, so... first test down, who knows how many more to go. It's just a shame that it arrived looking like a used tool. I understand the need to test and calibrate. However the scratches on the back of the ratchet, paint chipping from the dial, etc just seems wrong for a brand new tool. I know it will get scratched, and the paint will need to be re-applied from time to time. I just thought I would be the reason for the scratches. ... show more

  • Solid Wrench
Size: 3/4 Inch Drive (50-300 ft.-lb.) Style: 3/4 Inch Drive (50-300 ft.-lb.) Pattern Name: Wrench
I am not a mechanic and I do not use this tool daily. Just a DIY'er with no need for running a tab with a tool truck. I've had it a while now and used it replacing lowering control arms on two vehicles and to tighten lug nuts when needed. Used it maybe a dozen times so far. Had my friend calibrate it last month and it's dead on the money. Not sure if it would hold up to a shop mechanic abuse but it's a solid buy for the money for the average guy. ... show more

3/4 drive Its my 3rd tekton have had good luck with all. Got the big boy for axles and the occasional big project. Nice wrenches all, wish they could work in both directions but no big deal. Keep my older torque wrenches calibrated old school with a scale and good old math, havent had to touch the tektons yet, couple years monthly use on the first two, plenty accurate and consistent for my needs ... show more
