Description

Tekton deep impact sockets have both a high-visibility laser marking and a permanent stamped marking that won't wear off. They're designed for use with both friction ring anvils and detent pin anvils. Precise 6-point openings provide an exact fit for hex fasteners. Each socket meets a minimum of 1.3 times the ANSI/ASME standard for proof torque.This set includes carrying case made of a high-density polyethylene material that withstands exposure to common lubricants, fuels, and solvents.

I was doing 2 projects where I was going fairly deep into a truck suspension and into a cruiser overhaul. I needed some impact sockets mostly to speed things up a bit. I love these. They were cheap, they fit great, and they took no damage to fairly normal torque. No flexing, slipping, or sockets getting themselves wedged onto bolt heads. I'd buy these again in a heartbeat but I think my favorite part about them is I dont think I'll have to. I've got a growing collection of Tekton stuff and theyre becoming a favorite of my lately. I carry these sockets in my work vehicle with an extendable 1/2inch breaker bar for quick tire changes (tis the season). I’ve been able to remove most all car/suv/truck lugs (only one car had a weird pattern). The slim size and just the right amount of length of the sockets allow me to get into some of these rims with small lug openings. Each socket has the size painted and etched on. I mostly use the same two sockets for all motor vehicles but good to have the others just in case. The case has held up well and locks closed with two plastic clips. I know I don’t use these with an impact drill, I think I splurged for the durability but I am happy with my purchase. ... show more

have only used these once so far for busting lug nuts loose. They seem fine and a good value for the money. Use these with my cordless drill. They are a little greasy to the touch. Wear gloves.

If your searching for a socket set to remove tires , this kit is it! Many other kits come with odd ball sizes you will never use, or skip some " close enough " sizes between metric and standard. Not here !! I work hanging tires for a living and these sockets are miles better then any other set here. Plus the tekton case is sturdy and strong. I'd use a silver marker for the case though and lightly brush the size markings for easier identification. The best part about tekton ? The " always guaranteed " no hassle policy. No receipts. No wise guy oh what did you do to break it? No mailing back. Go online. Send photo of the damaged socket. Get a new one in the mail. Its that simple. Tekton is making great tools for a mid level price but the quality is almost up there with the " Gucci tool brands. As for the guys complaining the set comes oiled, any good tool manufacturer will coat sockets to keep them from oxidizing before purchase. Even the tool trucks do this its a sign of quality. ... show more

Its a full set of 1/2 inch drive typical ( zoom in to see the sizes) of lug nut sizes needed. Their not super thick- walled, time will tell how they hold out in the long run.... They are typical 6 point --> photo attached. The Red case seems durable so far so good!
