TEKTON impact sockets have both a high-visibility laser marking and a permanent stamped marking that won't wear off. They're designed for use with both friction ring anvils and detent pin anvils. Precise 6-point openings provide an exact fit for hex fasteners. Each socket size meets a minimum of 1.3 times the ANSI/ASME standard for proof torque.

Skipped sizes in cheaper sets are infuriating. My last impact set, a house brand set from a "Northern" midwest-based chain didn't have an 18mm socket, which is fine if you never need to remove the blades from a John Deere garden tractor or do anything on the underside of a modern Ford product. With this set, that won't be a problem. There's an old saying in Tennessee--they have it in Texas, I'm sure it's in Tennessee--it says skip sizes once, shame on you, skip sizes twice, shame on... you won't skip sizes again. I received these only a short time ago, so I haven't had a chance to break every one of them in, but they seem decent to me. They're heavy and relatively thick-walled like you'd expect from impact sockets, and each one has its size etched in easy-to-read paint on one side, and embossed on the other side, where it can never wear off. The blow-molded case seems to be made strongly and feels like it should offer decent durability for portable use. Unfortunately, it is also extremely heavy when full of sockets, although I don't know what I was expecting as it is a very large set. Also, if you've ever opened one of these blow molded cases upside-down and had everything on what was supposed to be the bottom half dump itself out, this one is prone to the same. Take a sharpie and write this side up/down on the appropriate side. If I were shopping again, I'd wish for the exact same set, except split across two cases so they're easier to manage. (Metric and standard would be a logical split, but I think a split between deep and shallow+accessories might be even better.) I'm just a home-gamer who works on cars, small engines, and other equipment for myself and close friends/family. I'm not in the professional use category, but the lifetime warranty and Tekton's easy replacement procedure does inspire confidence. (Of course, if you're making a living, I'm sure the Snap-on truck offers "I'm 30 minutes away, I'll be there in 10" warranty service and other advantages I can barely fathom as a non-pro.) I will update if I have findings of note.

Unless you just love keeping the tool truck man well fed and your wallet well drained, look no further. My set came fully intact, wrapped, strapped, ready to go. It's big, it's heavy, stamped and etched. I researched between 5 or 6 manufacturers, decided on Tekton. Price, no skips, and the shouldered design on the smaller sockets won me over. Plus a million YouTube torture tests. Could they be thinner? Yes. Could they polish them? Yes. Are those features worth $1200+ from the big name? NO. Warranty is easy, tho not a walk in type, but it's fast. Verses HF walk in replacement, the lack of full, no skip sets is what won me on Tekton. Tekton is located in Michigan, tools made in Taiwan, but the customer service, if you ever needed it, is bar nun. Bottom line, Tekton is THE BEST budget tool manufacturer in town. That's my opinion. HF offers walk-in replacement, sure, but offers no complete, no skip sets, and costs more. If walk in service is worth it to you, go that way. You'll be happy either way, I suspect.

This is a new design tekton deep sockets dual markings stamped and laser etched so you still read them when etching wares off . Smaller sizes are necked down too fit in tight spots much more usable than old design nice case also .great manufactures warranty I wrench everyday grand rapids Michigan tekton hasn't let me down just take a picture they'll send you a new one or parts to fix it highly recommended
