This fire extinguisher mount is the real deal. It's tight when mounted and easy to release. The craftsmanship is great, all billet aluminum anodized. It seems pricey but worth every penny. Previously I bought a neoprene sleeve that straps to the roll bars, it was alright but not what I had in mind. The TEK mount holds the extinguisher without it rattling or scratching the roll bars. I mounted it to my Razorback Offroad rack on my Polaris General XP.

It was hard for me to justify 150 bucks for a fire extinguisher mount, but now that I have it....SOOOOOO happy with the purchase! So much better in every aspect than any sheet steel or "pin pull" type mount. I have been out in my RZR for about 50 miles of offroading, small jumps, rocky hill climbs, dusty trails, and more since installing. It has not rattled, fallen off, came apart, or made a squeak. In fact I lost all worry about it after the first 10 minutes and soon forgot it was even there until pulling all my gear out after the ride. The safety and the latch function so easily, intuitively and positively, and design of the mating surfaces, latch, and the spring actually makes the latch tighten up and hold tighter when vibrated...regardless of mounting angle. Once mounted, I can radically shake the entire machine by holding only the fire extinguisher and jerking back and forth. This thing is rock solid and rattle free!! Buy it....you won't be disappointed.

This quick release fire extinguisher mount is rock soled when mounted to 2” railings. However, it is the devil to assemble as after the quick release is actuated to allow installation of the two rings on the fire extinguisher, the release mechanism and rings (which are loosely held together with two large silver colored pins) easily falls apart, so play close attention to how the device with the spring loaded release catch as originally assembled. If the pins that connect the large rings through the catch were held in place by screws through the sides of the large rings into the ends of the large pins, there would be no problem. Ultimately, this device is absolutely excellent once installed and I would gladly purchase another if the need arises.

These things are AWESOME! They look great and hold an extinguisher like a fat kid on a cookie! It took a little extra time to mount because of the tiny little springs that want to come out while you're mounting it, but once it's on, it's on. Wish they made a bigger version for larger extinguishers. They were a bit pricey though.

Fell apart & into pieces as soon as I opened the box it was shipped in. It took me a half hour to figure out how all the parts and pieces went back together. ARGG. Still not sure it's put together correctly!

This product will for the most part do what it was designed to do and look pertty doing it. Problems: Only works with one fire extingisher. Covers directions for extinghisher. Release handle is cute but poorly designed, Not making the design so it does not fall apart before installed, and Exstigisher retaining the mounting bracket while in use. It simply could have been designed so much better. Did I say its Cute, Its Cute

I actually bought this back in 2021 but I never posted a review. I live in the desert and I always see burned up blacktop where vehicles caught fire on the side of the road, and I wanted to get a fire extinguisher to give myself a better chance at dealing with a car fire. I picked this mount because of its simple one-handed use. I don't want to have to pull extra quick-release pins just to get the extinguisher out. With this, you have use one hand to get it out, the other hand to grab the handle, then use your first hand to pull the extinguisher pin, then aim and squeeze the handle. I mounted this in the trunk of my Dodge Challenger on the strut tower brace that I installed. I had to contact BMR (the manufacturer of the bar) to get the diameter (1.75"), and then I selected the correct size for this mount. I bought a chrome extinguisher to finish off the look I wanted to go along with the function. Funny thing is that when people first see it at a glance they think its a nitrous tank.
