I'm giving it 4 stars because one application isn't enough to notice a change. They say you should see a difference after using for three days, but they recommend using for two weeks straight for maximum whiteness. There's enough gel for 16 uses, but they don't have any instructions for procuring any more after that. Maybe you're supposed to buy a whole new kit when you think you need to do the procedure again. I hope the batteries last long enough to get through two weeks. (Two CR2450 batteries) They don't explain how to open the gel tubes. It looks like maybe you're supposed to break off the little part at the top of the cap, but I just unscrewed it and then screwed it back on after dispensing the recommended amount into a little dish to make it easier to paint the gel on my teeth with their little brush. The brush tip comes off of the handle pretty easily, so hold it by the metal part that the bristles are stuck in. ... show more

Used as directed and couldn’t tell hardly any difference in the shade of my teeth. I don’t trust the quality of this product, so I’m going back to the dentist for a real whitening gel.
