We purchased this mat to make showering safer when my mother visits, and it has worked very well. The suction cups hold it securely in place, and although it took a little effort to get the edge near the drain to lie flat, it settled after a few adjustments. Most importantly, it has made the shower floor much less slippery and has helped my mother feel secure and confident while showering. After three successful, non-slip showers, she is very pleased with it, and we are happy with the added safety it provides. Pros * Provides excellent traction and significantly reduces the slipperiness of the shower floor. * Helps my mom feel more stable and confident while showering. * Suction cups on the underside keep the mat securely in place. * Fits well in the shower without needing to be trimmed or adjusted. * Once pressed down, and positioned, it stays flat and performs as expected. * Has been successful through multiple showers with no slipping issues. Cons - these are minor * Required some initial adjustment to get it to lay completely flat, especially near the drain area. * Needed a few attempts and some water to help the edges settle properly. * May take a little extra time during installation compared to simply placing it on the shower floor. All in all great product for the price.

Bathtubs are slippery!! This mat is not only a fairly thick, comfortable addition to your bathtub for your feet. It also makes your tub slip free. It looks nice and unrolls flat and has suction cups to hold it in place.

I was specifically looking for an extra-large mat to cover the entire bottom of our tub, and this one fits the bill perfectly. The 40-inch length is fantastic and provides wall-to-wall coverage, which gives me a lot more peace of mind. The suction cups on the bottom are no joke; once you press it down on a clean, wet surface, this mat does not move at all. The pebble design feels comfortable on my feet, and the drain holes work well, so I don't end up standing in a puddle. My only minor issue is that the top surface itself can feel a little slick when it gets covered in soapy water, so I still find myself being a bit cautious. It's not dangerously slippery, but it's not as grippy as I thought it might be. Also, there was a bit of a plastic smell right out of the package, but it went away after the first wash. Speaking of which, being able to toss it in the washing machine is a huge plus for keeping it clean. Overall, it's a solid mat that does its job well.

Unless you’re cleaning your tub every day, this mat shows the grime, soap scum, and whatever else comes off of you in the shower. I won’t get the translucent kind again. Other than that, the mat is really durable. Stays in place really nicely. Suction cups work great. Easy to clean, but again, you’ll need to clean it often to not see the residue.
