I used plain Kraft paper and with the stencils I traced on the wrong side of different kinds of plaid scrapbook paper and cut out the letters of the names of the person(s) receiving the gift. I used a glue stick to adhere the letters and used plaid ribbon to finish. I was decorating my grandmother's door for Halloween and bought these in order to do cutout letters. They worked great for the most part. I would have liked them a little bit thicker in order to be a little sturdier, as they do move slightly if you aren't holding them down very tightly. But overall they worked for what I wanted.
