The Techna Clip installs quickly and requires no gunsmithing to your firearm. Now you can stash your pistol in your pocket, on your waist, or even in the small of your back! The Techna Clip comes with a fully machined replacement slide cover plate that is drilled and tapped ready for attaching the Techna Clip to the XDS/XDS MOD 2. The replacement cover plate can be left in place indefinitely, with or without the Techna Clip attached. The high-quality Teflon coating prevents abrasion to the gun by providing a thin but highly durable cushion between the Techna Clip and the slide. The Techna Clip comes in black and fits all XDS/XDS MOD 2 .9MM .40 .45 models. This model will not fit the XD or XDM models. See our other listings for those models. INSTRUCTIONS: To install, follow the instructions in your Springfield Armory Owner’s Manual to remove the slide from the frame of the gun, then separate the barrel and recoil spring assembly from the slide. Then following the instructions provided with your Techna Clip, remove the slide cover plate located on the rear of the slide. Install the drilled and tapped slide cover plate provided with your Techna Clip. Mount the Techna Clip on the right side of the slide with the screws and allen key provided. Why buy a Techna Clip? Love it... easy to install looks good on the gun... makes concealing an ease. Cost effective and simple, add it in about a minute if you know the workings of your gun if not watch a you tube video and you should be done under 5 minutes. Put it on a Springfield XD sub. Mod 2 and fit perfectly. It holds nice and tight to your pants or belt, it is a little awkward at first as my grip cants the gun when clipped on and its not as clean or easy to grab as a holster. But it is not a holster, I personally prefer this and you do get used to it and for what it is its an awesome addition to you ccw. Doesn't get in the way when chambering or shooting and eventually you forget its there. Would recommend and purchase again. ... show more

This is my second Techna Clip purchase. First was for M&P shield. This time for Springfield XD mod2. I was under the impression the Springfield clip was ambidextrous but not so. Would only take small mod to round off corner to fit left hand draw. Not sure if that would lessen the clips strength so left it unmodified. I will still keep it on the XD mod2 since it does not interfere with the holster (Crossbreed IWB on left side). Over all a good product for the thinner profile/print for in waistband when right hand carry. ... show more

I have an XD40 .mod2 it fits great I tossed my custom $$ Kydex bulky holster in the back of my desk drawer. This clip freed me from pinching the beegeezus out of my skin when re-holstering in my Kydex. It also allows for better placement and concealment and the handle no longer sticks out and no more impression showing under my T-shirt. Like anything it takes a lil getting used to but ultimately it just feels better uwb and conceals much better than before. My only regret is not starting with this before buying several uwb holsters I never was happy with. I found this when I first bought my Springfield but due to the early bad reviews I didn't and spent a lot of money only to come back to this original idea ... show more

Works great! I use it in conjunction with Alien Gear IWB holster. Great to leave the holster in the vehicle and just use the Techna clip for a quick run into the store or wherever you just want to carry it for a short period without the trouble of the IWB holster. Wouldn't recommend it for constant conceal carry solutions though. Slides around. Can catch on things during physical movement. Most people don't even notice it's installed on the weapon. Some said, "It will look like a pocket knife" later came back saying, "didn't even realize it was on there while I was shooting it." Personally wouldn't use it for constant conceal carry solution.
