I have been having problems with MacBook accessories. Everything seems to kill the monitor, and MacBooks are expensive. Be very careful. I had a sleeve that had a little strip of thin plastic that crossed the corner of the screen to hold the sleeve in place when the MacBook was opened. which I thought would be more protective than a sleeve that you put on and take off, but my screen died starting at the position where the thin piece of plastic that held the case in place, so I discarded that case, and need to take that MacBook for repair. I would not have thought that thin piece of plastic was placing any pressure on the screen, but my screen is ruined. My MacBooks have been my main computer and I have never really used a case until recently because I have needed to move my MacBook around my home a lot, and I wanted some protection. This Eco case does not hug the screen in any way, only the MacBook shell, so it is an extra shell. I would rather use it to protect the MacBook than not, so if you want a case for your MacBook, I think this is the one least likely to damage your MacBook, so I recommend it. If you are not moving your MacBook around, you probably don't even need it. As I wrote, I didn't use a case for years, only of recent, because I was dropping the MacBook a lot. The MacBook never broke from dropping, they are pretty sturdy. This case looks nice and protects the MacBook from scratches. Very please with this case. Fits perfectly, is light, and offers adequate protection. While I wouldn't expect "military grade," I've knocked my computer to the ground more than once, and it survives with the case in tact.

The media could not be loaded. There is adhesive left over like there was a sticker on the top of my case which is gooey and I haven’t been able to get off. The case fits very nicely.

Within a few months of having it, the case is already cracked and has started to break off in bits. I hardly use this computer so this should not be happening this early into the purchase.
