My two little kids spend hours in this sandbox. It’s small enough for our porch area but big enough to get some good playing in. Just wish the sides were a bit higher so that it’d be more difficult for the sand to fall out.

3 year old loves it!! ... easy assembly, took about 1hr with two ppl... holds 400 lbs of sand. I use 8 50lbs bags and it is filled to the brim... could definitely use less.. wood is soft so I worry about durability... also the bottom pieces fit together loosely so its not solid but with sand in it its not going anywhere... thought it was going to be bigger, two kids will definitely be tight.. ... show more

    • Decent sandbox. Canopy has awkward handling and wood not good quality.
Overall, an average sandbox but happy with the purchase. I had a feeling before purchasing that the wood quality would not be good, and that feeling proved to be correct. It's been out in the elements for about 2 weeks or so, and 1) Right out of the box, part of the wood under the canopy snapped in half (glued it back together and has not broken again), but 2) Then, the right side wood hardware supporting the entire the canopy (by which the canopy slides vertically up and down) cracked to the point where it can no longer hold up the canopy. I'm unsure of why it cracked; just came out today and saw the crack running through the wood to the top so I'm assuming just bad wood. Overall, handling the canopy (to take up and down each day) was awkward and not user friendly (manually unscrewing knobs on each individual side with screws barely big enough to fit those knobs = NOT user friendly. Even the cuts for the screws/knobs to move up and down the wood don't seem to be accurate!). But most importantly, kids still enjoy it and I will, as of today, continue using the canopy as a simple cover at night to keep out animals (very useful in that respect!). I've removed all the hardware associated with the canopy so it's now just a sandbox with a cover. I'd bet I could buy some pressure treated lumber and have it cut at Home Depot if I want to reconstruct the canopy better than it was shipped for use as a shade. So all-in, I'm good with the purchase but wish wood quality was better, and wish canopy had better handling for daily use....and be ready to jump over to Home Depot/Lowes as necessary. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My pups love this thing! Its also kept then from digging in my yard and floor beds! used 8 bags of sand Update: video, held up throughout the winter and the girls still use it often. No complaints, still very happy with this purchase!

So cute! Pretty easy to assemble. The cover lowers to keep the sand dry- it’s a little tricky to lower but it works! Held up in a big storm with high winds, definitely a good deal!

Extremely clever design: The canopy slides down to form a cover when not in use. It is cat-proof as tested by our family pets! Appearance is pleasing. This is a GREAT sandbox. Assembly is best done with two adults. There are LOTS of parts, but everything is very clearly labeled and the instructions (all as diagrams) are clear and easy to follow. ... show more

The canopy isn’t worth it. It’s difficult to move up and down. I regret buying this instead of a sandbox with a normal cover.
