I had this same sandbox for my kids when they were young, and have recently bought 2 for each of my grandsons. They are so sturdy, durable, no splinters, easy to open and close, perfect size, and very cute. My grandkids wanted their babies to have this, just like the one they used to have. Fits the bill! Decent size, sturdy, and the cover fits tightly to keep rain out and keep animals out who might want to use it as a litter box

    • Using for a puppy pool.
Bought a different puppy pool and my puppies ate a hole in it the first day. This one is so sturdy they lay on it have chewed on it and it is still intact and they love it when I put water into it for them. Great buy!

I used to have an older Little Tikes Turtle sandbox, a hand-me-down. That turtle lasted 3 previous children and then 2 of my children before the lid and head cracked and had to be tossed. This newer turtle was purchased during the covid-19 pandemic for my 3rd child, and the local stores were out of stock (Walmart and Target). The newer turtle is definitely made of thinner plastic. Yes the seats are nice (the old version didn't have them), but most kids are sitting in the sand anyways. The lid doesn't have the notches to lock down like the old one, but it hasn't experienced a really windy day yet to see if it comes off. I don't expect this turtle to make it 20 years as the previous one did. As for the price, it is $40 retail at Walmart and Target, so you should shop around before spending the $ on the crazy prices on Amazon. Due to covid-19, the closest ones in stock at Target were over an hour away, so it was worth the extra cost for the delivery (I paid $68 plus tax). To note, the seller didn't remove the original shipping label, so I could see this was originally from Walmart. To be expected with hording during a pandemic. But shipping and delivery was over a week earlier than published, which was nice. ... show more

    • keeps the kids smiling all day!
We recently moved across the country, and now we have great weather where the kids can go outside, and play all day long. We got this for our daughters 2nd birthday. We have 3 kids ages 2, 3, and 9. They all love playing in this! It has rained and the sand was kept dry! The cover keeps the bugs, and elements out! We have it under a tree, and there is decent shade, so there has been no fading of the turtle. My 2, and 3 year old play with the sand while sitting inside the turtle, and when my 9 year old joins them she is able to have space as well. They have never had anything like this and they absolutely love it! Seeing them smile is amazing. I love this! ... show more

Our 3 YO uses it almost every day its sunny. Good value for the money. The lid is a bonus to keep out the rain, heat from the sun, and the critters from using it as a litter box. Could use a drain under, but then the sand would probably slowly drift out, like the sand in the hourglass, so go the days of our lives. ... show more

    • My 1 1/2 year old LOVES it!
My toddler loves this! It’s the perfect size for him. Love the lid that it comes with. We have have winds a lot of the times here so I have to put something on top of the lid so it doesn’t blow away. I have nothing bad to say about this item.
