While it was more time consuming to put together, the directions were spot on. I recommend that you follow them step by step and not get ahead of the directions. The cabinet is attractive and sturdy. I would have liked to have had one with wheels, simply because it is hard to move when cleaning the floor. Otherwise, I find it very useful.     • A great cabinet at an unusual size

It can often be difficult to find a good cabinet to fit into a narrow space. This item serves that purpose perfectly. It's an elegant design that you'll be proud to display, sturdy in construction, and narrow enough to fit into a tight space, which is exactly what I needed. Assembly is mostly pretty easy, though a couple of the pieces will be difficult to fit together if you're working alone so you might want to have an extra set of hands at the ready. Though the cabinet is made of fairly cheap board, it manages to look quite nice when it's finally completed. There were a few flaws, however, that render this more of a four-star rather than five-star review. First, a few of the boards arrived with some scratches on them, suggesting either that the quality control was a bit lax in the factory or that the packaging was insufficient to secure it for shipment. In my case, all of those scratches ended up being on unseen surfaces so it doesn't bother me, but it's still slightly disappointing when a new item arrives with such flaws. A bit more annoying during the assembly process was that a few of the screw holes didn't line up properly. Again, it ended up not being a big deal, as I had no problem driving some new holes of my own, but these little flaws can be a bit frustrating. All in all, though, I'm happy with my purchase and I'm happy to recommend this cabinet. Once it was all assembled and those minor frustrations were out of the way, I was left with a great-looking cabinet that fit into a narrow space into which surprisingly few cabinets could fit. ... show more

My husband assembled it, he didn't have much trouble. t's so pretty, I love it! It's sturdy enough for what I need it. A little expensive, but very nice. It came with a broken piece needed to assemble the bottom drawer but we used super glue and left it alone almost 24 hrs. it was not so bad, I'll put tablecloths in there I think it'll be ok. I was worried about the glass, but luckily it came in one piece. The top wood part of the door came with a small breakage, but I can barely tell and the door closes without a problem. Definitely not worth the money. I regret buying this, but I know it would be too much of a pain to disassemble the piece to return it. It was not overly difficult to assemble, however, the pieces do not fit together well and some of the hardware does not fit into the appointed place. The disjointed pieces and hardware cause the piece to not be overly stable - it wobbles from side to side; the wall anchor and the leveling pads are the only saving grace to keep it from falling over. Several of the parts arrived damaged - either dented or cracked through. I'll probably end up painting it, using a whole bunch of wood glue, and buying some additional hardware to get it stabilized and make it look decent. ... show more

    • Nice wooden cabinet with glass door
I bought this item to use as a small China Cabinet in my kitchen. There was a few problems with the paint on the door coming off when packaged, but I contacted Amazon, and they have taken care of the problem within one day. I love the size of this cabinet and the glass door that allows me to see my China on 4 different shelves. This fits perfectly in the corner of my kitchen. It was not difficult to put together, just make sure all the back nail holes are on the same side when you do. I had to take mine apart and turn the drawer base around because I did it backwards. Other than that, it took me about 1 1/2 hours to put together (I am 66 years old) with a little holding help from my husband when we attached the door. It's a beautiful and sturdy smaller cabinet. My plates are 10 3/4 size and they fit perfectly in this cabinet with extra room for complete service for 8 which includes dinner plates, salad plates, soup bowl and coffee mugs. You need patience to put it together and the tools shown in the photos. Cam lock connectors have been around a long time but the problem that occurred was that the holes were drilled too deep and slightly too large for the cams. This allowed for the cams to move and not line up. Fortunately, you can put the cams in after you put the pieces together allowing them for fit over the head of the connector and then tighten. You will need a stubby screwdriver or an offset one to tighten the cams for one of the shelves. I also had a problem with the top section separating from the bottom after assembly due to the connectors pulling out of the plastic inserts or rather, the plastic inserts pulling out of the wood. Use 2 flat brackets or braces(as in photo - not provided) on the back of the cabinet to secure top to the bottom section. You will need to drill pilot holes before connecting braces. It is tall and narrow so you will need to use the connector strap to secure it to the wall. The cabinet materials ( shelves and uprights) are sturdy and well made and it looks good when fully assembled. There was one hole in one of the drawer sides that was not pre drilled. Be careful attaching the back panel as the screws provided will strip out easily if over tightened. Would also recommend gluing the dowels in as they fit somewhat loose. I was impressed with my new cabinet. First off it arrived on time and it was packaged very well. It was so easy to put together, the directions were straight forward and simple to follow. The white cabinet fits perfectly in a small corner of my kitchen. It matches well with my white kitchen cabinets. I am using it to display holiday themed decorations. With the glass door it lends to easy viewing. It is well made and I am sure I will get many years of use out of it.
