I had bought a rug liner to put underneath to absorb pet and drink accidents, but decided it would make a thick "step" I'd be tripping on all of the time and canceled it. I'm glad I did because I spilled a drink on the rug and because the threads are polyester, the flavored water just sat there. The bottom isn't exactly water proof, but you can get a paper towel and absorb most of it within a few minutes. The only real complaint is that the edges do like to lift up showing the white underside because the coffee table can scoot around and pulls the rug inward. Update: Put it through washer/dryer. The bottom foam won't realign with the top fuzzy portion, so it looks like a wave. Now my rabbit digs at it thinking it's little mounds. Thin, flimsy, flattens easily, needs a carpet rake to fluff back up. My rabbit likes it, only reason I am keeping it.

So, first impression- I’ve murdered Grover and he’s now my rug. Second impression- my cat is gonna love it. Third impression- it was $20 and should last for at least a couple months until I find a nicer one. Honestly- for what it is price wise- it’s really not that bad. Is it high quality- no. Will it hold up for years and years- probably not. Maybe 6 months. But it does look good, it does protect my floor, and it feels pretty good on the toes. ... show more
