I purchased this sound bar to go with my Sony 950H TV in MASTER bedroom. I was looking for an inexpensive unit for the MASTER bedroom and WOW was I amazed by the sound of the bass. It truly sounds like you have a subwoofer connected to your system. Don't get me wrong, you are not rattling glass or bouncing water in a cup, but you can definitely hear, almost feel, the bass. It’s sounds pretty good, but a little on the bassy side. Works better on a soundbar mount under a wall mounted TV than on a table top. If you use the Bluetooth or Alexa feature it often looses sync with the HDMI ARC and you may have to power it on manually the next time you use your TV. Sounds quality is fine - but this thing has CONSTANT issues connecting, staying connected to, and generally interacting with the TV. So absurdly glitchy. It’s a TCL sound bar and TCL TV. What more could I possibly do to make this simple tech work. And - my TCL tv has comically bad sound quality, which I’m sure is intentional from the standpoint that it essentially requires consumers to go buy a sound bar. Really surprised by the quality of this soundbar. It performs much better than a Samsung that was double the price (admittedly it’s a couple years older but still). I have this mounted outside under a tv that’s mostly used for football in the fall - it’s on an exterior wall and the rear firing bass ports are plenty evident from inside the house. I’m a bit of a tech junkie. I’ve searched and researched so many soundbars. This one does not disappoint. Price point is on track. 31” long bar looks nice with today’s bigger tv’s and the sound is great! It doesn’t have the deep, throaty bass but it also doesn’t come with a bulky sub. Hooked up nicely and being able to stream music from my phone is a huge plus. Dialogue is very clear and clean, even at max volume. I’d recommend this to anyone. ... show more

If you're buying this for Dolby ATMOS, you'll be disappointed. If you like bass, you'll also be disappointed. This is an average soundbar at best. There are other, cheaper options that sound better and more expensive options that sound much, much better. Our new RV came with two TCL TV's, a 43" in the living room and a 32" in the bedroom. Both sound anemic and need improvement. The 43" was wired via arc through the entertainment system, which also sounded horrible. I was tempted to swap the TV's as I have little faith in TCL products but both mounts were specific to the TV with 100x100 Vesa mounts and the mounting point on these TV's is lower than the Samsung's I was going to replace them with. Having to redo the whole shebang was more than I wanted to get into so here we are. Of the 3 matching TCL soundbars on Amazon, this seemed to be the best option. There is another bar which was cheaper but only allowed wifi connection to the TV. While we do have a hotspot with us in the RV, it isn't always on, so that one was out. They also sell this same bar with a wireless sub as a package and I'd recommend that over this as I believe most would be happier with it overall; Unfortunately I had no where to put the sub. So for us, this one was the winner. By winner I mean the one we chose, it is most certainly not winning any awards. This sound bar does improve dialog. It has general sound improvement across the board. It does sound a bit hollow. The highs are harsh, even with the treble turned down. It throws a bit of sound around you but does it in a very awkward way; Annoying would be the best way to describe it. This virtual surround leads to listening fatigue very quickly. If I wasn't trying to match existing equipment I would have gone with the VIZIO M213, a soundbar which I have out in my gazebo hooked up to a Samsung TV. It has better bass and it doesn't pretent to be a virtual surround sound system. The sound is clear, there is no hollow sound either. If you have room for a wireless sub, skip both of these bars altogether. The wireless sub is going to make a world of difference. There is a plethora of options that sound good and by good I mean better than this one. ... show more
