Right off the bat I'll tell you what I don't like about this tv wall mounted in my home: it is so hard to make connections on the back of the tv because you can't see them. I couldn't make all my antenna, wired internet/ethernet, and USB connections before putting it up on the wall. One man installation and the mount I used really makes the tv hug the wall. The speaker bar on the bottom of the tv keeps you from looking up to where they're located. That part was a real pill! Now the best part: the picture in 4K is a real beauty. The scaling is good, no issues there. I was wondering about that. And there are so many channels to give you that Free Option! After about a week of nightly viewing, I still haven't investigated all the apps(options) for free channels. Just amazing. I've been doing some viewing of videos and movies on my pc's, but this takes all that to 10 other levels. I highly recommend this tv! Remote is easy to use and you can give voice commands. I haven't tried connecting any of my earbuds to the remote. The sound from the tv is just ok, sufficient. I may experiment later with the audio options. Right now it is set on Auto. ... show more

So I have been using mostly Sony, Vizio and Samsung TV's for the majority of my life. My old Vizio finally died and I wanted Something a little bit smaller for our office. For the price I got it was a steal compared to other options at the store. Also I’m really glad it was safely delivered( this was my biggest concern lately with carriers). I have never used Roku ever before. Roku software is super simple and straightforward. I enjoy the customization options given from changing sounds, wallpapers, themes. and etc.... It’s is easy to navigate, the remote is compact and simple to use, if you get the Roku app than you can use your phone as a remote instead which is neat. The remote has a 3.5mm headphone jack so you can plug your wired headphones in and listen through them instead through the TV, which is a relief for my husband because sometimes we want to stay in the office while he’s streaming and now the tv sound won’t bother him. The sound is good not great compared to some other TV's. but considering the price it is beyond good. I connected my soundbar to it, but it’s unfortunately that now I have to use 2 remotes to control the sound. The picture is good quality too. We hooked the chromecast and our nite fo switch to it and added other apps we use just fine as well. I bought this Roku 43 inch during Amazon Prime Day sale in July. Just now getting around to reviewing my tv. I am not going to get into technical specifications too deep but I will say I am extremely pleased I bought this product, Roku sells great quality tv’s I am fortunate that Amazon had their Prime Day sale and had availability. Number #1: tv screen is picture perfect, great colors, I get to stream so many shows with Roku and also I subscribe to other platforms ( I.e. Tubi, Amazon Prime, sling etc ) there are apps to sign up for. Number#2- I eventually got cable subscription. No big deal…I like my news- ESPN,MSNBC, TV etc. Still I have no complaints. #3 Two remote controls. When or if you hook up with ISP cable tv then you have to switch back and forth from ISP remote to Roku remote. ( I believe I read online about a workaround by some tech guru that figured out how to use 1 remote) anyway this is not a deal breaker.#4 After you purchase Roku it is good idea to do product registration, very easy almost automatic, onscreen instructions smoothly walk you through necessary steps. #5 I have lost signal two/three times I called Roku tech support and problem got solved. Not sure if it was my ISP or Roku device—works great, tech support followed up with courtesy emails and made sure I was satisfied customer. #6 I highly recommend this product. The grandchildren and some generation Z young folks keep telling me to buy Roku, God bless this up coming generation b/c they were 100 percent correct. What a great tv, so many options to view shows. Sometimes I am overwhelmed with things to watch, old school tv programs, etc. I could watch my ROKU tv all day—if I had the time. Amazon shipping was super great. I believe my warranty and future service options are included with my purchase, I may have to upgrade warranty options, but that will be in 2025 or beyond. Happy shopping! ... show more

I got this for my girlfriend who was using an old TV in her bedroom. Surprisingly good picture and remote. Connected to the net work automatically. She had been using a Roku stick, but no longer. And this is quicker. The only small drawback is that the HDMI doesn't automatically pick up the sound bar. Has to be done manually each time. A minor inconvenience, but maybe I'll figure it out when I have time to dive into it. The built in speaker isn't very good, so a sound bar is certainly needed. Don't expect a picture as good as a Sony, but it is better than most lower priced TV's that we compared it to. Factory settings were way off, but I was able to dial it in fairly quickly. Bang for the buck is very high, and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a bedroom or secondary TV, or for an RV or lake house. ... show more

You're most likely looking at this because this is the lowest priced 4K TV. I'd say it's worth it! Picture quality is excellent. It's lightweight. Bezel is very thin at sides and top. For this price you shouldn't complain, but in case you're being picky, here's the bad: 1) If you're actually planning to use the Roku features this won't apply. I'm just using it as a computer display. Before you can use it for any purpose, you have to log in to a Roku account or create one. Creating a Roku account I'll never use and going through a bunch of marketing questions was a bit annoying. But I sort of understand. The money they make selling other services subsidizes the low price of the TV. I've already gotten 1 marketing email and it has no "unsubscribe" link, ugh. 2) It's a bit thick at 3.5" The ~15 year old 42" I'm replacing was 3.0". 3) "Bezel-Less" isn't true. The plastic bezel is thin though at only 1/8" thick at top and sides, 1/2" thick at bottom. But the actual border when video is on is 3/8 sides, 1/2" top, 5/8" bottom. Still, not bad. ... show more

This TV worked fine until it suddenly would not turn off and had to be unplugged. After that, it went into Recovery Mode and became stuck in a continuous update loop. It connects to Wi-Fi, the update downloads and completes, but the TV freezes when it reaches the restarting stage. I have reset it multiple times, left it unplugged overnight, and even tried a completely different network using my phone’s hotspot. Same problem. I contacted TCL support and was transferred through multiple levels of technical support before the issue was escalated. For a television purchased in February 2024, this is completely unacceptable. A TV should not become unusable because it cannot successfully restart after a software update. I will NEVER buy another Roku TV. For the past six days I have called Roku support been put on hold and transferred multiple times and no one has a solution to the problem that they caused. I just put it in the trash. Roku TVs suck. ... show more

I had ordered a Vizio 43" for my bedroom on Amazon but it arrived defective so I returned it. I read the reviews on the Vizio 43" & it appeared to have problems just like mine so I decided to try the Roku 43" instead of just asking for a replacement Vizio. I'm so glad I did. The screen appears to be wider on the Roku than the Vizio was~~I had to move my dresser away from the wall for the tv screen to fit. The picture also appears to be larger/wider. I had a few problems setting it up as messages involving set up were ending up in my junk mail so it took me some time to figure out how to retrieve them. Once I did that everything went smoothly including setting up my youtube tv account. The only problem I have now is that my dog spends the whole day laying in my bed watching tv. We also have 2 other tv's in the house~~55" & 65" Vizio's but will probably replace them with Raku tv's when the time comes to replace them. ... show more
