  • Roku is the best product for value and dependability
Size: 65"
I absolutely love the simplicity of Roku and the value of a good product! I have been buying products with Roku built in to the TVs but now that I have the Roku TV itself I'm going all out Roku The more I use the product the more satisfied I am

  • Good picture and sound (review updated)
Size: 50"
Update on previous review: I’m not sure why but suddenly the volume, which was fine and could be heard well at around 12-14, must now be jacked up to 25 or more to hear it. The TV is only about ten feet away and I haven’t changed any settings other than using the volume buttons on the remote. (Original review follows) The picture is great, the sound is fine. In spite of the complaints about the sound I thought I’d give it a shot anyway. If you’re not hard to please like me, this TV will certainly do the job for you. If you want concert level sound, you may need a sound bar. The only issue I have is that it’s not working well with the Roku app. I use my earbuds at night so I don’t disturb other people in the house when watching TV late. After a few minutes the sound comes through distorted, stuttering and robot-like and I have to close the app and re-open it to fix the problem. I don’t have the issue with my earbuds in any other app or for any other reason so I’m certain it’s the app not working well with the TV even though they’re both Roku products. ... show more

  • Beautiful TV
Size: 55"
I bought this tv for my back patio to watch baseball. It is great! The MLB app works flawlessly, not like my Samsung. It mounted on a rolling cart so I can put it away in the garage. One of the best features is the Bluetooth connection, using the iPhone app. It goes to my speaker, or to my Bing earbuds. Now I stay on the patio watching tv without bothering the neighbors! ... show more

  • Nice TV. Good value for your money.
Size: 50"
I bought this TV to replace the one on my lanai that came with the house, which died suddenly. I wanted a “cheap” TV, as it would be exposed to the Florida heat and humidity, though the lanai is covered. While I cannot speak to the durability of the TV yet, I have been pleasantly surprised by the picture and sound on this TV. Not to mention all of the channels you are able to access. I really enjoy all of the music stations. The TV was easy to setup and is simple to use. The TV may not cost that much, but the value for the money is well worth it. When I need to replace the next TV in the house, I would have no concerns purchasing another Roku TV. ... show more

  • This TV is a Pleasant Surprise!
Size: 50"
Update: (8/8/24) There's still a lot to love about this TV, but the remote is *not* one of them. For one thing, it's super sensitive, so even an accidental bump can result in the TV suddenly changing to a different channel or service, a pause in the show, or even the TV shutting down. That's pretty annoying, but the worst is that it sucks the life out of the 2 double A batteries needed for it to function (and I'm using a fresh batch of Duracells). I haven't had this TV for very long, but I'm about to replace the batteries for the 3rd time under normal use conditions, without using the voice function. And if you plug in headphones, expect to change them even more. I did that twice and ended up having to change the batteries for that. What this remote needs, no, *must* have in its next incarnation, is a rechargeable battery with a USB cable to charge the remote like any other device. And yeah, it would be nice if the buttons were easy to use, but not so easy that the coffee table can turn the TV off if it's bumped. 🤦♀️ ************************************************************ ORIGINAL REVIEW: My Samsung SmartTV picture died and after troubleshooting to determine the picture had indeed croaked, I started looking for a replacement. I'd been spying TVs at Costco, but decided to see what was offered here on Amazon. This RokuTV caught my eye because of the price. It was more than reasonable for a 4K 50" TV. I thought about it for a few days and then decided to get it. It arrived the next day. The TV is ridiculously lightweight, which was a bonus for me. It was easy to set up and was ready to go in minutes. I already have Rokus throughout the house, so I signed into my account and all my apps were there on the homescreen. I logged into all my existing accounts and was ready to stream as usual in about 10 minutes. I then checked out the live TV options. Setting up so that I could catch local broadcast channels was easy. Just a toggle to antenna in the setup (just like other TVs). Roku Live TV channels also populated and added hundreds of channels of free content, much of it useful (movie channels, music channels, topic-specific channels, etc). There will always be something to watch with this TV. The TV comes with a channel guide. A bonus feature of the channel guide is that it is user controlled, i.e. it moves as slowly or quickly as you want it, so you don't have to wait while it slowly scrolls. Lots of information about the shows and channels is included as well, and you can favorite channels as you go using the options button (*) on the remote. The channel guide only works for live TV, and is easily accessed by pressing the left arrow on the remote. Volume control is on the side of the remote, which is handy, but the remote (like all Roku remotes) is super sensitive, so you can (will) sometimes accidentally mute, increase/decrease volume, change channels or go to the streaming homepage. Minor annoyance, and certainly better than other remotes that require a hard press of the buttons to get anything done. The remote also has a 3.5mm mini-jack headphone jack on it (!) which is a great bonus! It can be voice activated as well by pushing the mic button, but I'm not going to use that feature (I draw the line on IoT devices beyond a smartTV), so I can't speak to how that functions. There are dedicated buttons for streaming services on the remote (these are different on every Roku remote we have in the house, so your results will vary). There are also 2 shortcut buttons on the remote that you can easily program, and an instant replay button. The remote is just a tad heavier than other remotes, but that is actually a good feature: the remote feels good and fits well in the hand. It also takes 2 AA batteries which is a huge bonus over 2 or 3 AAA batteries. The only drawback to this remote is that it lacks number keys, which means you have to quickly scroll through the channel guide to get to your live TV channel. OTOH, most people will probably just use the voice controls to access a channel quickly. So far, it's been a minor inconvenience; if I watched more broadcast TV it would be annoying. The TV has 4 HDMI ports, 1 USB, 1 LAN, RCA IN (only) connection, 1 optical port, antenna/cable connection, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The Dolby Sound on the TV is clear and there is little to no distortion at full volume. Sound settings can be changed to match audio output (e.g., music, movies, etc) or just left on auto so it adjusts on its own. The TV can accept Roku Wireless speakers that upgrade to 2.1 sound, but I've not figured out how; the TV does not support bluetooth. Alternatively, you can use the HDMI 1/eARC port for your ARC/eARC home sound system. The auto brightness on the TV is a nice feature and offers the appropriate visibility for specific lighting situations (i.e., bright daylight, nighttime, no light). Dark scenes in shows don't wash out in darkness or in bright light surroundings. The TV does not support web browsing, but it does offer screen mirroring (found in advanced system settings) to allow you to connect to a laptop or tablet. The Select Series is the low-end of Roku TVs, but it's a substantial improvement over my Samsung SmartTV is every way. And, for a low-end version, it's a good TV at a bargain price. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that a higher-end version would have, but if all you really want to do with it is stream shows and movies, you really can't go wrong with this TV. ... show more

I was a little worried due to a lot of the reviews on this product but I am happy with my purchase. I wanted to give it some time before I made my review, just in case. I've had this TV for +3mos so far. Picture is great. Sound is good. (The sound is alright. I say good instead of great because I have a 45" roku that is lounder. This is a 65" Roku) Thankfully, I have had no issues with this TV so far. ... show more

  • Perfect TV for our Living Room
Size: 43"
Love four new TV!!! Just the right size for our viewing, still small compared to some on the market, but bigger than our previous TV. Easy to use with one remote instead of the 3 we had to use for previous older TV. Easy set up and arrived quickly!

  • It works
Size: 43"
I had to break down and buy a new tv which was super annoying because my old Fire TV still worked but kind of on its own terms. Planned obsolescence is a real problem! So, anyway needed to get a new one that would load in a timely manner and change stations when I used the remote etc… My old Fire tv was not compatible with the Spectrum app which was also an issue since we have Spectrum. Needed to buy a Roku or a tv designed to work with Spectrum. The price point for the Roku TV was what I wanted to spend on a new TV. That being said the tv works, the picture is decent , the sound is decent. I do not like the Roku remote it is so… It feels like it was either designed Playskool for a 5 year old or designed by the Jitterbug people for a 90 year old. I never thought I would say the words that the remote is not “sexy” but I really is a clunky little number. I also hate the screen saving image on the Roku. All in all it’s a fine TV, set up was easy enough. ... show more
