The media could not be loaded. This storage bin has a high quality seal built into the lip of the lid where it fits into the container. There is also a silicone rubber seal where the hinged lid meets the frame of the lid. To check for a good seal, I turned the lid upside down and filled it with water. The lid held water perfectly with no leaking. So if it holds water, it has a tight seal and will also keep air from getting in. This is a good looking container that is a good size for putting in my pantry cabinet. I am using it to store sugar instead of rice and it works perfectly. This large capacity container with push button opening, removable, airtight lid also includes a measuring cup and is perfect for flour or rice. It's clear so you can see the contents and know when you need to refill it. I emptied my bag and a half of Jasmine rice into it and there's still plenty of room to spare which means next time I can order a larger bag and save a little more money.
