I bought this foundation to use on a Memory Foam Mattress. I ordered what i thought was a Queen size but received a Full. Could have been my fault by clicking the wrong button. But regardless i returned the unopened box to the UPS store on Saturday and by Monday, Celine from Overwhelming was in contact with me regarding the return. My card was credited in the next day or so and I re-ordered the Queen. Received the Queen within a week. Took about 45 min. to assemble. Only because i used the disposable tools included with the product. But they were ample and served the purpose. Use a ratchet & socket and you can cut the time down to about 30 minutes. Not once did I look at the Instructions. This product is designed very nicely & goes together intuitively. I just emptied all the parts onto the floor and went at it. And before i knew it , the frame was done. The nuts have NyLock liners so there's no need for lock washers. And all the hardware was included. Nothing missing. Packed nice & tight in the box. Nothing loose or moving around in the box. All parts bound together with Zip Ties & plastic Straps. And the relatively small box it comes in was a dream come true when it comes to dragging a typical Queen size box spring up a flight of stairs and winding it around banisters and into a bedroom doorway. So to reiterate - VERY STURDY, EZ TO ASSEMBLE, EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. And no dragging a typical box-spring up staircases. This one's a winner ! Worth every penny. :-) ... show more

    • Seems sturdy, but time will tell. Make sure it will fit between your existing bed frame.

It just showed last evening. There was some difficulty in trying to bolt it together, but not something that is worth noting about. I was more concerned about how hard it was going to be to put the fabric cover on. I shouldn't have worried, it slipped on with no issues. I'm a big guy and was looking forward to sleeping on it and too see how much noise it would produce with my considerable girth rolling around on top of it. So far it was very quiet. My biggest problem was that it was just a little bit wider than my original Hollywood bed frame. So before you place your order, please make sure that it will fit between the rails of whatever bed platform you have. ... show more

The overall setup was easy... but cumbersome. I had previous experience with the Amazon Basics Box Spring and can tell you that in comparison the setup was much more work with lower quality parts, tools, and outcome as additional headache. The fabric cover does not completely enclose the metal platform like most other box springs. The fabric seemed extremely thin and easy to rip/tear. The biggest problem I had with this was that they designed it in a way that there were screw heads face down sticking out against the bed frame. Thus, causing it to instantly scratch/dent the bedframe. All four sides of our bedframe were scratched/dented due to the box spring, we didn't even have it on for more than 10 minutes before noticing. I would strongly advise anyone to refrain from purchasing and tell you that the Amazon Basics Smart Box Spring is absolutely incredible in comparison to this poorly designed product. ... show more

I was very hesitant on purchasing a boxspring that came in a box and I had to assemble-I guess I am just old-school lol. However, my expectations have been exceeded as it was easy to put together, is very sturdy, and the boxspring serves its purpose exactly how you expect it to.

Don't let the price trick you, it's worth buying, especially for a guest bedroom. It's metal with a cheap cover over it. It you add mattress protectors, you're fine.
