I wanted this to work. It looks cool. I even bought this particular one because of the splash guard since I’d seen most of these create splashes. I experimented with varying depths of water but found that it’s impossible to get it just right. Too little water and it splashes out of the bowl. If you add water until it doesn’t splash outside of the bowl it was in, then it doesn’t create the fog. I let it run for 15 minutes with what I thought was minimal splashing and I discovered there was water everywhere on my countertop. I guess with a larger diameter bowl it would catch more splashes, but that’s not how I wanted to use it. ... show more

    • This will midly make fog, but definitely not a lot!
I was really disappointed in this product! I ordered this with a small time window, with high hopes that it would help create my bubbling cauldron for a Halloween party, but it sadly did not. It came in the day prior and I was saddened that it didn’t fog with intensity, but the biggest issue was that it didn’t changed colors (as pictured)!
