  • Fantastic professional face steamer for facials, well made, sturdy, fine mist, easy to use..
Fantastic professional face steamer for facials, well made, sturdy, fine mist, easy to use.. This is a well made device, from the easy rolling wheels that ensure easy maneuverability, to the metal frame structure and the tough ABS hard plastic type body and arms. The 5 x magnifying glass doubles as a lamp, the light is with the magnifier. This machine is easy to work and the hot steam is really like steam, a super fine steam, not big wet particles. The description focuses exclusively of using this in a professional setting, in a salon or what have you, as opposed to in-home, personal use... but that's only at the top written description and in the headline, lower down they start talking about home use, which the description could be updated at any point but that's how it is as of today... you don't really know this is great fro home use until you get down in the body of the description, half way down the entire page, or until you read a few reviews... but yes, this is a great facial steamer device to use yourself, inside of your own home. Great product. ... show more

  • Good for professionals
This steamer is good for professionals. The steam gets hot and sprays well. But again, the tank with the steam is hot and could be risky being used by someone with little spa experience. Recommended for professional uses or those with knowledge, as opposed to novices.

  • Professional facial steamer
This professional facial steamer was easy to assemble and use. It seems to be good quality. I like that it is portable.

  • I LOVE this thing!
The one issue that I have with this face steamer so far is that it doesn't have a covering for the water intake part, and I'm not sure why. I didn't think much about it until I was looking at the water heating up during my third or fourth use of it and noticed little black flecks floating around in the water. I realized that they must have been from when I'd been burning some palo santo incense wood, and the bits of ash must have floated into the water intake because it doesn't have any covering. Since then, I've just put a little plastic tupperware lid on top of it (just something easily at hand), but I'm not sure if it should be left uncovered when the machine is on and in use. Other than that, though, I love it! It was really easy to put together, and the instructions were easy to understand. It does suggest to use distilled or purified water, not tap, but so far I've been using tap water because I don't have any of the fancy stuff onhand right now, and my kid wanted to try it out right away when he saw it. It's important to note that if you're planning on using any essential oils in conjunction with this, do NOT put them into the water reservoir itself! There is a small metal tube at the end of the steamer bar, just under where the steam comes out, and the instructions say that you can put some essential oils onto a piece of cotton and then tuck the cotton into the metal tube. I haven't tried that yet, mainly because I don't have any cottonballs (because I can't stand them). It would be nice if they included some kind of cotton filters or something for this purpose. I do have some long cotton filters that came with a small humidifier, so I may see if those filters will fit in this metal tube, because that would be ideal. But I digress... The magnifying glass has a plastic cover on the top of it, which I appreciate, that way it's not getting covered with dust when it's not in use (but, again, why isn't there a cover for the water hole?). If you're using this at home where you likely don't have any salon-type chairs, you may have to get creative with the placement of this so that you can sit comfortably without your face being too close to the steam spout. Even when it's positioned at its tallest setting, you may still need a seat that's a bit lower to the floor. The arm of the steamer part isn't adjustable, but the plastic part at the end is, so you can turn it to better accommodate your sitting situation (you can have it spray straight down, straight up, or angled to one side or the other). The cords aren't super long, which I don't love, but hopefully it's okay to plug it into a power strip or extension cord. The instruction booklet doesn't explain anything about the Ozone function (like what it does, why it's there, etc.), just says how to turn off the light for it. I guess if you're someone who works in the beauty industry, you probably already know what it's about, but it would be nice if it explained it for those of us who are new to these things. Overall, I love this thing, and so does my son. It's something that I would never actually go out and pay to have done, so it's nice that I can enjoy this little face spa at home in my living room. ... show more

  • Large and fancy
This is a professional-grade facial steamer with a lighted magnifier on an actuating arm. I would not be surprised to see this in any commercial day spa, and now I have it at home! The steamer heats up fairly quickly, it took about 5 minutes for steam to start coming out forcefully. The full water vial will last for about 30 solid minutes of steaming. It's conveniently on casters so you don't have to carry it around, I love rolling the magnifier to my work station. ... show more

  • Works as it should, but mine had marks on the inside of the magnifying lens
This steamer was easy to assemble and use, and worked as it should. I filled the steamer cup halfway between Min and Max with distilled water and it took five minutes to heat up and provide steam. The UV light came on as it should, but I don't have a way to test if it was effective or not. The steam was plentiful and soothing at the proper distance from the head (20+ cm) and got very hot closer than that. The steamer cup also gets very hot and you should leave time to allow it to cool down after use. I would have liked a cover or cap to go over the water fill on the steamer, but it's easy enough to cover it with a cloth when not in use. The base is pretty stable and the wheels roll smoothly and well. The light worked well and the viewing area was big enough to have a good view of facial areas, and I felt the magnification was appropriate for the situation (easy to see blackheads, etc.), but my magnifying lens had marks I could not polish off on either side - they are on the inside, where I could not get to them (they are the scuffy marks to the right of the lens in my photo). It looks bad in the photo, but really wasn't an issue once I started focusing on facial areas. I am removing a star because this is a QC issue that should have been picked up before it left the manufacturer. Except for that issue, I really liked this product, and felt the $110 price was reasonable for the quality and functionality of the unit. ... show more
