Many times during my life i have suffered detrimental damage due to not covering something up that was outside and exposed to rainfall or other immediate moisture exposure. Many times the damage has been costly such as having that small triangular back window broken out by a thief and left open for a night. This few hours that it was exposed i thought would be ok but of course the worst case scenario happened with it raining then causing double the damage. I could of ordered a heavy duty tarp such as this awesome one in review from the Jeafer brand but at that time i decided to risk it and was punished for that laziness. Now that i have ordered this super large tarp i am going to use it for another reason and hopefully prevent some damage that would otherwise not occur. In this scenario it is the winter weather and me taking preventative measures to combat the seasonal freezing weather. With this large blue tarp i have hung it above by apartment garage. I live in a four unit apartment complex where i have a garage but it does not have a sliding door or any door for that matter. By hanging this tarp i will not only be able to keep the snow drifts out during the nasties months in Ohio winters, i will also be able to keep pests as bay such as racoons or other types of animals that are to fat to climb up along the beams. What made the hanging of this tarp over my garage area easy was the built in metal grommets that are evenly distributed every three inches or so across the canvass. With those grommets in place i am happy i did not have to use my own grommet press and in turn i could use simple 50/50 rope to do the hanging from the beams and frame. I am so happy with tis tarp i am considering ordering another one to throw over either my small metal boat that's in the back yard or my other car i use for rugged traveling. To summarize and conclude i am very satisfied with this tarp and am giving it five stars because it is perfectly designed for what it is intended to do. ... show more

The canopy did exactly what we needed it to do. We covered items on the patio to shield it from rain and snow. So far, we are pleased with how it is performing. The canopy is 100% water proof since receiving it, has rained several times and even snowed twice. The items we stored stayed completely dry and unaffected by the elements.
