  • Good quality case but a bit floppy in use
Style: Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Color: Black
Appears to be identical to THZ751GL and THZ753GL, just the decoration of the cover is different (as is the price). Those have a lot more reviews so you can check them out. I feel critical reviews are the most helpful for people deciding what to get. So here are the problems I've found with it thus far. - Tabs stick out on both edges. These tabs are designed to fit into notches on the cover to hold it at an angle. They're on both sides since you can rotate the case 360 degrees. They're a bit excessive IMHO since the rubber-like material on the cover seems to have enough grip to hold the tablet at any angle (even ones without a notch in the cover). I feel they could've been made much smaller without impacting functionality. - A bit difficult to open when closed. The "notch" on the side when you have the cover closed is not very big, and it's difficult to get enough grip on it with your fingertip to overcome the magnetic latch. - Power/volume difficult to operate. They're recessed inside the case to make it difficult to accidentally hit the buttons. But I feel they're recessed a bit too much. There's about 2mm of clearance between the lip of the case and the buttons, forcing my fingers to "wrap around" the lip to press the buttons. I think it could've been reduced to 1mm without significantly increasing accidental button presses. - The cover has a joint in the middle. I think this is to allow you to fold the cover into a triangle, for holding the tablet at extremely shallow angles (shallow enough the bottom of the tablet would extend past the bottom of the cover). It works fine for that, but it makes the cover floppy when supporting the tablet at higher angles. It's not a problem on a table. But if you pick up the tablet to move it, the joint tends to fold and the cover collapses flat. When you finish moving it, you have to set it up all over again like you've just opened it. I'm used to setting the tablet's case at an angle, then grabbing the whole thing to pick it up and move it without having to reset it. - A bit floppy when opened, due to the 360 degree pivot (which seems to work well, although I rarely use my tablet in portrait mode). - Partly as a consequence of the previous, the cover is very floppy if you open it flat (fold the cover flat behind the tablet). The magnetic latch only holds the cover closed. It doesn't hold it when it's open - you have to do that with your hand. Due to the folds in the cover and backing, when you hold the top, the bottom tends to hang a bit away from the tablet. Makes you feel like you're holding two things with one hand when the case is flipped around back, not just a thicker tablet. - Pen holder is just an elastic band on the outside, so it's impossible to stack other flat things like books on the tablet if you have the pen in its holder. I was hoping for a more secure location, maybe in the main cover fold. Overall it's still a good, sturdy case. The materials feel very good and seems very sturdy (especially the corners). I just think it can be improved further. Maybe some sort of ratcheting mechanism on the 360 degree pivot. Some sort of rotating tab to prevent the fold in the cover from collapsing unless you want to collapse it. And a magnetic latches on the back (as well as the front) so the case will hold itself folded open and flat. I'm going to have to compare with a traditional fold-flat case and decide which to keep. ... show more

PERFECT!

  • I wasted my money on other covers because the reviews misled me. This is the best case I have now.
Style: All iPad Color: Navy Blue
The media could not be loaded. I have only had this case for 3 days, but It is already my favorite. First off, I know that a lot of people have gripped about it not having the sleep wake function, and that kept me from buying this case. But now that I have it I can assure you, they are wrong. I uploaded a video that proves it has the magnets to make it work. PROS: Speaker Amplification; I have decided that I refuse to buy a case that doesn't have the sound redirect chambers. I don't have to turn up the volume as loud, and the sound is more balanced. The sound is thrown at you instead of wasted into the atmosphere around you. Truly a must have feature for me! Sleep/wake magnets; Again, I'm just throwing this in the "Pro" column because it does indeed have it. Thickness; Ok ok, this is both a pro and a con. It doubles the thickness, but It is so much less fragile. This morning I had my tablet set up to watch netflix whilst cooking breakfast and for reasons unbeknownst to me, this iPad did a Simone Biles and double-back-flip-corkscrew-head-spun off the kitchen counter. Then it flailed around on the ground for what felt like half of my life time bouncing like a rubber ball off each corner of the tablet and landing face down, all the while my eggs are getting tough in the skillet and my mouth is wide open. Anyways, I sullenly bent down and picked it up but everything was 100% fine, "New Girl" was still running and my eggs were fine. All is good! Texture; Very easy to grip and hold onto. the outside is a rough (but soft) cloth that gives you MUCH better grip than the naked tablet or cheap TPU cases. And the inside is a very grippy rubber so you can literally set your tablet to any viewing angle and it will stay. No Preset angles here! CONS: Thickness; YUP! It is a con also. This case just a little more than doubles the tablets size depth wise. But width and height are still almost the same. Even with the sound chambers. So, it is a very slight con, really not a deal breaker at all. Quality control; My case has a piece of dirt under the cover and there is a little bubble where the adhesive didn't take (See picture). I would have expected one of the most expensive cases I have to have better quality control than a 9$ case. This isn't a deal breaker, but it isn't great either. I know it sounds whiny to talk about a bubble in the cover. But, 40$ for a case... that is a lot of money for quality you don't receive. Closure flap Magnet; The closure magnet on the end of that little flap is quite weak. It flops open and doesn't hold the cover tight like I would want it to. Again, not a deal breaker, but it is an annoyance. All in all, I would totally recommend this case if you want the best combo of protection, and features. ... show more

  • Our 2nd one
Style: All iPad Color: Black
It works really well. It’s our second after getting one for the iPad Pro. The iPad Pro one is a little bit more rugged though. This gives good protection to the front and back. The flap on the old one has become slightly stretched out after a year of use so it doesn’t fit as snugly As before and doesn’t always automatically turn off the screen. It does sometimes slightly come out of the case and I have to push it back in. I think it’s the best protection for the price. ... show more

  • A few improvements would make this five star
Style: Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Color: Black
I bought this tablet cover because it allowed for both portrait and landscape support and because it appeared that the tablet support would be steady on uneven platforms such as my lap. This it does well. But it is not the most aesthetically pleasing cover on the market. And two inconveniences could be eliminated to make this an almost perfect cover. The first is that the S pen holder should be moved to the inside of the cover instead of being on the outside of the cover where the pen is subject to potential damage. The second issue is that the cover can be difficult to open. Both sides of the cover come together in such a way as to make it difficult to pull back and open the cover. People with long fingernails won't have this problem but I do. ... show more
