  • Big power from a little package.
Style: Amplifier
Great power from a little amp. Had a hifonics previously that finally fried after years of abuse (probably my fault) and when I say fried I mean melted aluminum rails. I watched the dyno video on this amp before buying so sort of knew what to expect. I originally purchased the 1200.1 but returned it for this one instead. The instructions on the 1200 were not in English at all so didn’t quite understand everything about it. This amp came with instructions in 2 languages so I could tune it better. A hint to everyone the clip light can flash some and it be ok. It’s the protection light you really need to be wary of. The clip light just means you are reaching the edge of the safe zone. A little flicker while playing won’t kill the amp (different songs will push it to different levels so tune it using several tracks for best result). It’s a beast. Love the built in fan. Pushing 2 soundqubed subs and they have finally come alive with this amp. Will be buying more taramps in the future. Just be sure to have good electric in your vehicle. Minimum is big 3 and some 0 gauge wire ran to back with a reducer going into amp. These things are hungry for power. The recommendation of 4 gauge is a little small to me with the power it needs. Anything larger than the 1800 I would suggest an alt or an agm or 2. Just make sure you take care of this amp and it will take care of you, too many fail because of user error by then they blame it on the amp. Don’t drop down below 11 volts and you shouldn’t have any issues with it. Don’t mount it on box unless you have some sort of vibration isolation installed also. ... show more

  • Make sure you understand what you are buying!
Style: Amplifier
I switched from a DC 7.5K and DC 175.4 to a pair of Taramps MD 12K and a MD 1800. The DC amps were great, even had the 7.5K wired down to 0.25 daily and it did that with no trouble at all. Korean boards are durable, simple as that.. however from what I've seen so far, there is zero reduction in sound quality with the MD series. Anyone that notices a sound quality difference is doing something wrong. You need to choose your wiring routes carefully, ALL wiring carrying a signal should have proper shielding, you need to have your filters set correctly and with no overlaps, you need to keep input voltage under 2v, don't wire them into the dirt, you shouldn't be clipping them, and your source material should be clean (I've verified my entire playlist with software on my computer). You can have a very bad tune with a Korean amp and it will still sound great, Brazilian boards don't have the capacity to compensate or forgive YOUR mistakes. Simply put, you want CHEAP power, your going to have to go above and beyond with the quality of your install or it'll likely sound like garbage (which is why so many people report SQ issues with Brazilian boards, they failed to do one or more of the above mentiond). ... show more

  • Junk!!!!!! Junk!!!! Junk!!!!
Style: Amplifier
Hooked to a skar evl 15” at 2 ohm. Hits ok. But sucks a lot of power from vehicle when bass hits bolt gauge drops down to about 9-10 volts. And protect and temp light flash a lot with bass barely up. After a cpl days. Went back to my old Kenwood 2000 watt. Hits way harder. And don’t sucks volts down. In short. If your looking at this amp. DONT. Go with something else unless you wanna upgrade to big 3 alt setup with it. 2 days old and I threw it in the garbage ... show more

  • Best Amp!

Packaged nice quick delivery excellent amp stays cool even in 90 degree heat 2hr play time I have this 2 ohm amp powering 2 12in 1200 watt skar sdr subs and those things are loving the power.I think the power might be a bit too much for the subs at high vol but they sound excellent on this amp.Glad I went with this instead of the 1200 watt amp .On YouTube Big d wiz tested this amp and it can do atleast 2k great amp great price..Get this you will love it everything shaking banging bass. 👍💪 ... show more

  • Lots of power in a little box.
Style: Amplifier
Good little amp. I have my Taramps 1800.1 on 2 XFL 1044 American Bass 10’s wired down to 2 ohms. It’s not maxing out the subs, but is still unbearable to listen at full sound for too long. Good amp and will most likely buy another. Williston Audio Labs on YouTube has a full dyno of the amp. That video was the only reason I decided to try it. ... show more

  • Big boom small package.
Style: Amplifier
Lots of boom in a small package, although I'm suprised that there is no fuse on this amplifier. Also, this model is not 1 ohm stable, only good for 2, 3, or 4 ohms etc. Puts out over the rated power, the inclusion of a built in cooling fan is nice, but the port where you plug in a bass know is only for a clip light, not a bass knob. ... show more

  • Awesome amplifier!
Style: Amplifier
Love how much power this thing has for being so compact. I'm running 2) Sundown Audio Ev3 15's and have had trouble not blowing them up. Great amp for the price and power output!
