I have a regular front door and an exterior steel security door in front of it. So I placed this mount on the inside door behind the security door for extra "security" for the camera. Mounting any doorbell cam on the exterior wall or on the door with no anti-theft protection is not a good idea. Most of these doorbell cams can be unlocked with a paperclip or screwdriver, but those tools are not even needed. I have tried many doorbell cams and they all can be snatched off the wall mount easily with a small amount of force. The thin plastic wall mounts and screws that comes with all the doorbell cams are cheap and too weak. This doorbell mount is all aluminum and a lot better than the other cheap plastic mounts. It fits my tapo d210 doorbell cam perfectly. All the screws lined up and fit perfectly. That being said, this doorbell mount is also not FULLY anti-theft because anyone can still snatch it off easily from the mount. It works for me only because I placed this mount behind my exterior security door. So, no one is able to fully grab it. I rigged up something to where people are able to still push the doorbell button thru the exterior security door ;) The only negative thing about this mount is that even though it's aluminum, it bends too much when the clamp is tighten on the door. A small block of wood placed inside the corners of the clamp might solve the issue though.

This product does not line up with the holes on the back of the mount or the Tapo camera itself. It doesn't secure the camera at all. I instead had to buy a different mount from a different company. This might work for other cameras but for the Tapo D225 it is a no go.

I have the Tapo door bell model D205 and not one of the models listed in the description that this mount is made for. I was not able to find a door mount for model D205. The description said that this mount is for model D210 which is the newer version of the D205. Well, it is almost an exact fit except that the back bracket screw holes, the top and bottom screws are off by a mm. The mount itself is strong. All necessary screws and parts are included which made the installation fast and easy. One thing to note, the top and bottom screws which supposed to secure he video door bell in place can easily be removed from the outside and the door bell can be taken. Not anti theft.

Got this for my rental property. I’ve been using this metal anti-theft doorbell mount for a short period now with a Tapo video doorbell, mainly because I wanted a no-drill solution that would work for an apartment-style door. Overall, it does what it’s designed to do, but there are a few things worth knowing before buying. Build Quality The mount itself feels solid and well-made. It’s fully metal, not plastic, and once installed it feels sturdy and secure. The anti-theft design gives some peace of mind, especially in rental situations where drilling isn’t allowed. Installation Experience Installation is straightforward and truly no-drill. It clamps onto the door securely, and the adjustment mechanism allows you to tighten it enough so it doesn’t wobble or shift with normal use. That said, door thickness matters. If your door is thicker than average, fit can become tight or awkward. Fit & Compatibility The doorbell fits properly in the bracket, but alignment can be slightly tricky depending on the door frame and how the door opens. In some setups, the mount may partially limit the viewing angle or affect motion detection if it’s not positioned carefully.
